I love old portable AM battery powered radios from the late 1950's and early 60's, one one big problem is that they need two batteries the use them and one (the high voltage battery) is hard to find and expensive. most use 9 volt batteries, many of them in series and that also gets expensive and don't last long. This is my solution, I hope someone find it helpful.
