    Welcome and thanks for the feedback! We often split our regular recipes into something smaller for the singles in our lives, but they are included within our other videos, rather than have another dedicated video for that. But you're right - it's definitely a need out there. I'm sure there will be more meals for one and two in our future. Stay tuned!

They do some cooking themselves but when they are working and I'm not home this makes things quicker for them and less processed & takeout foods. The mini meatloaves are a huge hit in our home, just serve with mashed potatoes & baked beans. Try French's Ketchup, Made in Canada.😊 Thank you so much from Saskatchewan !!! 💖

    It is easier to write on the bags before filling them with food!!! Also, there is no need to have different videos for smaller and larger servings. Just reduce or increase the amount of ingredients. Since you never make very large portions, it is better to keep the amount of food the same, and simply split it into more containers or bags. Preparing a lot of food when prepping freezer meals just means going for longer periods between preps.

    There are so many things I like about your videos, and especially this one. I am one of the ones who has been waiting with bated breath for another Single Serve version and you did not disappoint! I love how real you are - chatty, forgetful, improvising and honest. Also, appreciate all of the tips and tricks. It's like you give me permission to cook what and how I want which may not necessarily have been accepted by conventional cooks. I do have a question - For dishes like the Alfredo Tortellini do you put the foil dishes in the oven with the cardboard lid? I have always been afraid that they would catch on fire. I usually put foil on and then the cardboard lid for the freezer (makes it firmer for stacking) and then I just have to take the cardboard off and it is already to go in the oven.

  • @FreezerMeals101

    @FreezerMeals101

    I'm so glad to hear you find the videos helpful! Yes, I put them in the oven with the cardboard lid on them but I make sure the lid is turned foil side up. I've never had issues with them catching on fire that way. But if you don't have a foil side on your lid, then I'd remove it before baking.

    Thanks for the love! Do you eat the same thing all week because it's all leftovers? Or do you need to for some medical reason? So many of our meals can easily be divided into smaller portions for singles and couples and that can offer variety throughout your week without days of leftovers. I'm glad you still like to cook. After you cook and cool them down, I would put them on silicone baking mats on cookie sheets and pop them in my freezer for about 6 to 8 hours and flash freeze them unless you’re singly putting them into their own individual Ziploc bags they will stick together if you just stick them in a Ziploc bag together because once they’re frozen, they will stick together like that so I highly recommend that you put them on parchment paper or silicone baking mats on cookie sheets in your freezer for up to eight hours and then put them into Ziploc bags that way they do not stick together I do this also with homemade Turkey burgers and homemade black bean burgers and an array and assortment of other things that I cook that way nothing sticks together in the bag.

    Thalfredo sauce doesn’t separate when it thaws?

    Nope! It freezes (and thaws) beautifully actually. I will say that I've always used jarred Alfredo though so I don't know if a homemade Alfredo would separate when thawed.

    Is that an herb garden in the backyard?

    Yes! It's an indoor herb garden and I love it. Before this, I was never able to keep plants alive so I love being able to see the herbs growing. I've had it for at least three years and have been able to grow herbs successfully that whole time.

    Hello. I am concerned about your honey spoon. You placed the spoon inside the chicken bag to "scrape it off" inside the bag.... but then put that spoon back into your jar. Please be careful! You might have cross-contaminated your honey jar with raw chicken juices because the chicken most likely touched the inside sides of that bag.

    You need to stick with one project at a time. Stop jumping from one recipe to the next before getting one done. It’s too confusing.

    Ok so let me start by saying I love single portion meals for my dad. So I appreciate the ideas, but I wanted to tell you that I'm worried you just contaminated your entire jar of honey. You have raw chicken in a bag that has touched the sides of the bag and you used the inside of the bag to wipe your spoon. Then you dropped the spoon in the WHOLE jar of honey.

    Why do you wear gloves ?

  • @FreezerMeals101

    @FreezerMeals101

    I don't like the feeling of touching raw meat with my hands, so I only wear gloves if I am doing something like mixing raw beef for meatloaf or meatballs by hand.

    I use gloves when I work with minced meat because I do not want it under the nails and you do not have to wash your hands so often just to change gloves if needed, the phone has the ability to ring when you do something messy.

    So I'm noticing that you don't do anything from scratch and there is really no cooking going on....your mostly throwing canned items and things in a bag and heating it in the oven and crockpot...interesting
