If these people’s issues are rooted in racism or something sicker which I won’t mention out of respect for Peter and Anthony then those people need to address their OWN issues. It was all about the money/allowances that was being provided by the government to the foster kids... yeah, some people are absolute shite.

That broke my heart when he said Anthony asked if he can call him ďad just after meeting him. He wanted somewhere where he can feel safe and someone to trust 😥. Thank God he is his dad now.🙏

unless they were abusive and were only using them for the money they'd bring in sometimes i wish people like that would abandon the kids they are abusing but yes you are right! still they at least took him to a hospital.

CheeseAddict You don’t make money on a child that you adopt. That child then becomes your child, and you’re responsible for all of their needs. I was adopted at 4 months old. My parents are now 85 & 88. I’m very curious as to WHY the adoptive parents abandoned Anthony?? If it was that they just didn’t want the responsibility anymore...then they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!

How "beautiful" is a man who bypassed all those in the deep ditchest of poverty and chose Anathony! There would be no question about his empathy for Anthony, if he had seen it fit to adopt one of those that bear his own semblance. I am almost certain that he saw them, before he saw him.

What a nice story. This man will raise another good man, just like himself.

Harry Helmut was the brother of Winky Helmut who later changed his name to Helmut Winkey while Harry changed his name to Helmut Hood

His first adoptive "parents" did him a favor by leaving him. They didn't deserve him and now he has a real parent to love and cherish him

Anthony looks like a happy teenager. A loving home is what every child deserves. ❤

It was traumatic for Anthony to be adopted at the age of 4 then being abandoned at the age of 11. Emotional trauma is more hard to mend than physical.

Beautiful story, me and my twin brother were adopted from birth- that was over 62 years ago!

Am I the only one noticing dad is friggin gorgeous? He's got a definite Idris Alba look to him. And an accent, too, oh my goodness. If I were single....Oh and the story is great,too. Adopting an older child is not an easy choice but if does work out its amazing!!!!

An adoptee becoming an adoptive parent, is really paying it forward.

Since I was a child I wanted to be an adult to adopt. I'm hoping I can still manifest this dream.

As a child of adoption I BEG YOU sign up for adult groups of adoptees and understand just what you are taking on and what the future could look like. People always see babies and kids that need just love, but once you hear from us adult adoptees you’ll understand love purely isn’t all it takes.

I’ll tell you what was so important for me as an adopted child, (@ 4 months old)... 1: I don’t remember not knowing I was adopted. My parents had a book to read me as a child that explained things in a simple way. 2: I was never introduced to people as their “adopted daughter,” (my brother is biological). This was super important. As soon as they held me, I was theirs 💯. 3: I was allowed to ask questions at any time and not made to feel badly about it. 4: My dad always told me that I’d grown in another’s belly, but that God had written in The Book of Life, that I was meant to be theirs. 💖 *theres a lot more... but.. I not trying to write a book... lolz..* Things that were difficult; 1: It was a closed adoption. I cannot find out who my biological parents are without going to court. If I’d had just one photo of them growing up, that would have been enough. 2: My ethnic background wasn’t shared with me until I was pregnant with my first son at 22. I don’t think my mom remembered what exactly was in the letter from the agency, besides health facts. But, I finally found out that I’m Irish & English. That was important to me. So if you do adopt, a few things to consider. I hope your dream comes true! If handled right, it’s an amazing blessing! 🌈☀️

I a black man with 3 sons and my wife is currently pregnant and guess what from a kid I always wanted to adopt to put a smile on a poor kids face, I'm still gonna do it I promise some day when I'm finally settled 😭😭😭 wish I could have done it earlier: life just caught me off guard with such a big family loll

Anthony is such a handsome man, not to mention his inner beautiful self. I hope he finds himself a wonderful soulmate.

I loved that the kid is so blunt about his dad not marrying anyone. LOL. Like any kid who doesn't like change. He seems already happy and he doesn't want anyone who might disrupt that.

That’s true, because he thinks that once dad gets married he won’t be able to get that same love and attention anymore,so he would rather them to stay the same way, but you never know, him getting a partner, maybe things will be even better for Anthony because he would get more love from both of them. This man is straight out of heaven. I know he is one of God's angels. He has a huge heart. And the children who comes in his home threw foster care are soo lucky. I wish some one wealthy would buy or build him a 6 or 8 bedroom house. So when a larger family of children go into foster care he could take the whole group. He even gave up his room and slept on the floor recently. So he could take in 2 children out of 4 who were in a emergency situation. They were babies. What a man. He couldn't take the who group because he didn't have room. And the "angel man", was upset and worried about their older siblings who he didn't have room for. You know....you hear these stories where the foster care parents only did it for the money. And they didn't really care for the kids. This wonderful man does it from the ❤ heart. He knows what it means to have a difficult childhood. He got his 1st pair of shoes when he was 16. This angel man has won a place in my heart.

Kind man, lucky family!
