My son went to a big college his first year . He felt lost in the shuffle. So he started a smaller more family oriented college and Christian and he was so much happier.

Congratulations Dad! I am glad he wants to learn. My son was college resistant and was able to get a good job and a house. He is only 25 years old with mechanical and electrical skills he learned before college. A naturally curious, researching soul.

Wear a helmet guys. I lost my 14 yr old bro in a bike accident - just a bump to the head. Can't stress it enough.🙏

I’m with Anthony. I went to college close by. Next county over. About a half hour from home. I commuted the 1st 2 years. I lived off campus for one (to act all grown lol) and went back home for my senior year and commuted again. When I got married I lived 10 minutes from the college town. Now I live 20 minutes from the college town in the other direction. I can’t IMAGINE a family adopting a kid and then deciding they don’t want them!! Especially Anthony! He’s such a great kid!! What was wrong with those people? When it rains that e-bike is not gonna be fun lol

This was really close to my heart. My middle son just left to complete law classes in Rome. It was really hard to see him go, but I am so happy for all he'll experience. BTW...my youngest just completed his first year at UNC Pembroke and loved it. I recommend. Unfortunately, I live in Maryland so it is quite a hike....or bike ride...to get there for me.

It is a bittersweet moment to have a child go away to college. Going with him to visit them is very comforting to him as he knows that he has your back. As parents we have to guide and be there every step of the way to adulthood which can be scary. Best of wishes for you and your beautiful family. I have been out of college for 9 years now. But unless things have changed much from my time. The best money saving tip was to go to community College and get all the general courses out of the way and transfer to a 4 year school for a bachelors degree. Especially helpful if he doesn't know what he wants to do just yet like many kids do leaving high-school. It feels so crazy seeing Anthony entering college age. I been watching for a couple years and seeing him age in front of the camera has been a journey. It feels so fast, I can't imagine what it feels like as a parent going through it.

I am so happy Anthoney has made it to college. I can understand he wants to stay near by. It is also nice for the family especially his siblings. You have a great man helping to shoulder your responsibilities. You both should wear a helmet on that bike. By the way I am very impressed with you both putting that bike together.

Take your first two years at the community college and then transfer to the 4 year college of your choice to complete your Bachelor's degree. I think Central Piedmont C.C. is in your area. lol, you told him that he was driving and then told him to drive carefully. When I moved from NC to FL, my mom drove down with me. I got to drive about an hour before she took over. She told me I drive to carefully and was afraid to speed. That woman was crazy, trying to drift off semi trucks and everything. The sad thing is, I'm close the age she was when that happened and I gotta tell you.......... once the menopause starts to hit, you lose all patience for everything! If I had to do that trip now, I wouldn't do it and if I did, I'd drive like a bat out of hell too.

I’m shocked at the amount of people complaining about wearing a helmet, I’m from the UK so it may be different but I rarely wore a helmet even when i was 7 and especially not when I was 15+ which I get as a child you should wear a helmet, but I saw a comment saying its the law over there apparently? So this is very new news to me 😂

If it’s a law in your area, it’s a State law. There is NO National Bike helmet law in the United States. Each State makes its own laws regarding everything that the Federal Government doesn’t have the power to regulate.

You dont wear helmets in the States when youre on a bike???
