Singing Warm Up - Mezzo Soprano Full Range
Full Range Mezzo Soprano Singing Warm Up
SUBSCRIBE
kzread.info_cente...
Title says it all. A progressive full range warm up for mezzo soprano range singers. Starts easy enough with some gentle descending scales, quickly moves on to smooth and somewhat faster arpeggio/scale combos. Finishes up with some lip trill, range development exercises and pure vowel exercises in the upper register.
Enjoy!

We do lip trills every time we have class so I’m fine with it plus I’m a brass player in band too so that helps but the part after the lip trills “eeeweeeooooo” I couldn’t stop laughing because my lips were kinda numb and I could barely do it 😂😂😂😭😭

@@agnieszkakatzy2746 Do you find it challenging to sing female hit songs? I'm an alto and find that most female hits are soprano.
@agnieszkakatzy2746
4 жыл бұрын
@@xseaangelx I do! I'm much better now with female songs than I used to be, however still feel the most at home when I sing songs originally sung by men, especially tenors. And about female songs, it is still hard for me to hit over the certain point of where soprano range is. I guess either I need more practice or this is just over my range, as I am definitely not a soprano. ;)

before I turned 18 I could get really deep comfortably and thought I was an alto, its been a couple of years and now I stop about three notes higher than my previous lowest note but can reach much higher going up the scale so I trading off and have found myself hear.
I'm so confused whether I am a Mezzo Soprano or an Alto......since I can't sing both scales quite comfortably. Your videos help a lot. Thanks! Love from India.

I'm a mezzo. Sang a lot throughout my life. Small musicals, karaoke, celebrations. I'm now in my 60's. I've also developed a disease quite like Sjogren's. Has that ever crapped on my singing. I drink water and hydrating teas all day. Your warm ups are just the addition to my singing regimen that I need. Here's hoping. Thank you so much for putting this out there.

Oh heck This is this the first warm up I feel comfortable in
Each time I try to sing a song it sounds a bit dry and my voice seems to crack a bit while singing so I’m going to try these warm ups to help my voice out. Thanks.
My range is from a C3 to an E5 and this really helped. Since the 6th grade when I first joined choir he told me I was an Alto and obviously since then my voice has grown and then I have a new teacher this year, I'm in eighth grade and she told me I'm an mezzo soprano and he kept me so Alto for the past two years to keep my voice from being damaged when he should have allowed it to grow. Now I'm a mezzo soprano.
Thank you so much for remember us, mezzos!! Nice video, like always. Best for you, Jeff...

Finally! A vocal warm up for mezzos!! My voice felt so relaxed and free after this warm up. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I had studied vocal technique for 3 years in college plus private instruction, that was 30 yrs ago and I just got back into a choir thinking I could pick up where I left off! WRONG Lol..I had lost a lot of my range..These videos have helped me get back much of my mezzo range. I practice the warm ups every morning and now after 2 weeks I can hit the full mezzo range..When I was in my 20s I believe I was a mezzo but could hit the full coloratura range, however I am happy just being able to hit full mezzo now! Thank you so much

Thank you so much for these exercises 🙂 I warm up to them everyday. It's really helped improve my singing and to reach the high notes 🙏👌🙂🙂
Thank you, as always, Jeff, for that Mezzo Soprano warm up. I feel like I'm howling when doing the ''u'' at the end! You're different videos help me discover how to use different muscles in my mouth and throat to reach notes 'physically''. (If that make sense)
For me as a mezzo-soprano these videos are extremely helpful and fascinating, my goal for 2019 is to start a regular routine of these vocal exercises, hopefully, my voice will be a lot stronger. Do you also offer vocal coaching?
