Good Bud out bag. Would add two items: 1) packets of electrolyte salts (they can be kept for years), Bug out situation is physically demanding, them slats will come in useful to keep energy levels up. 2) Packets of drinks, hydration and energy. These need to be rotated, as they have shelve life. Good content.

@@urbanknifeguy Really impressive kit . I would replace your pry bar with a 14 inch ,ovalised ,tool steel gorilla bar. Reason being ,your pry bar has a sharp blade at the end where you would need to apply torque . You have other blades ... you do not need to compromise the capability of your pry bar . The gorilla bar is the ultimate urban survival tool .( attack ,defense, ingress ,egress ) ...it's my one tool option for urban survival.

Nice pack. But I think you'll know what I'm going to say. You need to protect your senses. Touch (gloves are in there), hearing (earplugs are good, the ones with the cord attaching is better so you dont lose them), but you're missing eyes (need eye protection) and mouth (your missing a mask, a lot of disasters bring up a lot of dust and hazardous materials). Also was there a whistle in there? I also would always keep a pen and a lighter in my first aid kit, probably some paper too. But a great pack and I'm going to put together a new kit and use this as a basis.

I definitely forgot the mask. But a N95 mask was on the list. I will explore goggles of sorts due to space limitations. Yes, there are two whistles. One with the paracord bracelet and the other with the Leatherman Signal.

@urbanknifeguy the way I have it is, I have the type of goggles that go over glasses (it gives you a bit more room, also if you don't wear glasses they are fine or you can wear over sunglasses. Use the glasses as a case... inside I put a mini kit of torch, candy, mask, gerber dime, band aid wrap, small mirror, whistle, and wrap the glasses (which have those neck glass holders on and wrapped around) in a bandanna and secured with some elastic bands. Might be some other stuff too inside but it ends up pretty small. The kind of torch I like to use is the coghlan mini dynamo torch. It's pretty quirky but it's small and light and will never run out of power. Also I can put one of the elastic bands over my wrist and clip the torch there, so I never lose it. The idea is in an emergency, everything goes on my person and in pockets ready to move.

@@alimfuzzy sounds really good with great suggestions. Yes, in my larger bugout bag in Malaysia, I use the oversized goggles. In SG, space is much more valuable and constrained. So will look for a small alternative. Thanks!

Adding coffee filter is smart. Multipurpose while super thin and light. Removing as much particulate as possible to make water more palatable. Can use as writing surface. Can be use with vaseline as fire starter? Gonna try this later.

The only thing that worked for me is getting a dry fuel can that they used for buffet. Used it a few times when the gas at home was out. But it got contaminated and stop burning strong enough to cook so i threw it away b4 i could use up all.

Where do you buy your paracord? Are the China made ones from Lazada good enough or must they be the made in USA ones?

As I also live in MY, I can get the US ones quite easily on Shopee in MY. China ones are definitely much cheaper and are not rated like the US ones, so not as safe. If it used just to tie gear into place and build shelters on ground, etc, it is good enough.

Where you get those ropes? I see in places like decathalon say not for climbing? I thinking of getting rope for repeling if i got the money.... I have an edc but not really survival purpose. My altoid tin jus random stuff like fishing line with hook and sink,a matchbox, pencil +notepad, a removed can top that act as a small knife(sharp enough to cut hotdog. it's flat n recycled so is free) and a seperate foldable fuel stove.

That rope is not for climbing, either. If you want climbing rope, you need to get from a climbing supply store and get static line. But you will need a harness and carabiner too. And rope is heavy.

I like most of the survival items in that bag but that universal pry bar hatchet tool has to go. That is a very dangerous tool to use. Just get a small cat's paw. you do not want a blade on the opposite end ever as it will not allow you to use maximum gripping on the tool when you have to pry hard. A separate hatchet is better.
