You must have made 50 + or even many more bags at this point, it would be interesting to know which ones you would choose to grab in an actual emergency depending on the situation

This honestly might be the best overall survival kit you've ever covered, usually it's always "oh it's missing this and that" but this time I was impressed by the quality and quantity of what it has, and the special surprises of things I would've only thought of out in the field and not while planning a bag. I literally said, out loud, "IT EVEN HAS A BIOHAZARD BAG!" Every expectation was surpassed with this one, and hearing it can be got for as low as 90 dollars? Nothing better for the price I'm aware of, and the sort of thing that at THAT low a price, it would be a challenge to match what they give you in this pack scrounging on your own. Massively impressed by this one.

Certainly one of the better bags at that price point. All of the stuff seems to be decent quality. I like the way they've organized everything. If you're outdoors, on the move, you're not going to have a nice flat table to lay everything out on. You neeed to be able yo grab it quickly. Your additions, as always, make it even better

The back pack alone usually costs that much! Having everything for 2 people in one bag is great, especially if the second person is a child that can't carry all their own supplies. Can easily divide into a second pack to lighten the load. And the first aid kit is a lot better than most I've seen (didn't take much to make it a full trauma kit)! Time to get my bag out to switch to winter needs!

A nice startup bag to get an earthquake bag going. My personal touch would be removing one of the food bag contents and putting in real food as it is a great morale boost to eat a warm meal. Probably some bean dish and a baggy of mashed potato powder. The Fieldmaster you added is a great knife i use it as my EDC knife. Matches and a lighter are always the first choice for fire lighting as it is the easiest way. Especially when you are cold and wet.

Something that would be good to put in your closet or maybe in your vehicle.

Random Rations to add- Glucose Tablets. They come in travel packs. They're a compact way to keep your blood sugar up in a fasting situation. Also, a small container of Coffee extract (from cooking aisle) will really help with the taste of the instant coffee. Just a couple drops needed for each cup (replaces the oils that the freeze drying process removes). Since it's an extract, it's also another source of alchohol if you need it topically.

It took me 72 hours to watch this. lol It is one of the better 2 person 72 hour bags I've seen you review. A lot more thought put into it than 2 glow sticks for three days sillyness. I'll have to put some of those turn liquid into a solid bags often sold with camp toilets into my more urban kits. You can't always go outside to do #1 & #2 in an urban disaster and may not be stuck close to an indoor toilet.

Thank you for the excellent review. This is a decent starting point for those with limited time. I believe that many viewers could build a kit, customized for their area of operation, from what they likely have on the shelf. Customizing for your needs is truly important. Here is a real example of why I repeat this like a broken record! In our Philippine subdivision, there are few mosquitoes most of the time. The government claims this area is "dengue-free." Not long after that claim, a youngster contracted the disease. This occurred during the school year and he had been nowhere except between school and home. Knowing that malaria, dengue, and other mosquito-borne diseases lurk both here and in the more rural areas near us, I would absolutely include bug nets and repellants in all family members' kits. Know your area of operation!

Was fairly impressed with this kit. Of course judging by the shape of the rucksack and the luggage type layout, this kit is designed for the sort of people who would just stick it in the boot of the car, RV, home even aircraft. Serious outdoors types would have their own arrangements. Even so, no one is ever walking out of a situation until they are. I would suggest walking with this pack at least 5 miles, preferably 10. Even a lighter uncomfortable pack becomes a burden after a few miles. Just something as simple as repacking can make a lot of difference (less simple during an emergency). If the pack is very uncomfortable after a few miles for you it may need replacing if you can't fix the problem but better to know this before not during.

The only thing I would added in the cutting department fix blade knife like Mora or some sorta fix blade for batoning to go with the folding saw and victorinox like ya did in the video. A folding shovel if there was room and also one those Arcturus survival tarp or Military poncho to go with the other cover as well course a small fishing kit with few those little mechanical reels. and small collapsible cookset with small gas stove. A way better compass. Definitely like the video and Content ya added especially the Silky saw victorinox water filter/purification tablets. In food it looks like one could fit a few ramon soups or some bouillon cubes.

The common survival card thingy: run your compass by it and you'll see that the card is magnetized. All of mine are anyway. Hang it from a 3 foot thread and it makes an effective compass. Tie it at the exact center edge where the four wrench point is. Think that was coincidental? The knife edge also makes the best flint rod striker you'll find! Comfortable to use and throws masses of sparks!

If I were to add anything, I think I'd add a cheap pair of gloves or some disposable medical gloves. I know you mentioned a dry bag for clothes, but without that maybe a couple pairs of socks or hospital socks or something to wear in the sleeping bag if it's cold or wet. ...and yes, those "splinter probes" do look exactly like the other half's old finger-sticking lancets.

As it comes with a sharpener, a honer, a serrated sharpener, a whistle, a Ferro rod, a compass, and a mini flashlight. The sharpener is also bright yellow. This would help to keep the blades sharp. I would also add some aluminum foil. And extra batteries or rechargeable batteries.

Ive put Jolly Rancher candies in survival kits before, they seem like a good idea at first but they quickly melt messing up everything around them.

I am really surprised you have never made a video about making a survival kit using items from Walmart before, those types of videos typically do very well. Obviously the gear won't exactly be top notch but it's the definitely accessible for most people.

Those mask aren't any good for filtering dirt. I bought one for work for grinding stuff I didn't want to breath and my face was just as dirty under the mask as the mask was. Other than that this bag looks like an amazing start and just needs a little extra thrown in. I'm glad you're back its been a while since your last video.

Do you know if the water-bags will survive freezing temps in a car trunk without splitting open ? I know from experience that plastic bottles often split open when frozen and then drain out once they thaw. Very enjoyable review and mods !

Hard to beat at that price point, especially if you grab it for the $90 sale price! The only thing I don’t understand is why they but a folding knife in these kits instead of something like a budget mora? Still not bad and I’ll watch for that sale price to grab one😎🇻🇳

For 200,000 years a "survival knife" was a sharp piece of flint the size of your thumb. 95% of "survival" happens in the first inch of your knife. A good pocket knife is a good tool. A two or three blade is even better. A Mora is simply a locked open pocket knife that doesn't fit well in your pocket.

The real disadvantage to one of those modern "tactical folder" knives like this one is the entire grip design. Wide and flat means it only fits the hand one way. That seriously limits its function. A REALLY good survival knife would be infinitely twistable in the hand and useable from any angle like a paring knife or a classic pocket knife.

Prolly the best set so far, but it's still lacking in a lot of stuff, I would also drop an tarp, even the small/light one would be enough (preferably a poncho style tbh). You can use it literally for everything.

My advice.. The best thing you can do is to put together items of better quality yourself and put them in a sturdy bag. This will be a bit more expensive, but in emergency situations you will know it was worth the money

I would recommend pink flagging tape over orange as it is more visible in the woods ( blaze orange actually blends pretty well), also why not use procamptek tinder plugs or something similar, that tinder bag seems awful large for only 4 fire starts. The tinder plugs may fit in the whistle compartment.
