    To be honest I like my voice (tone) but Im not a good singer in terms of strength or range. My biggest fear is to find out that my voice (tone) is actually not that nice, its just that I'm used to listening to my own voice.

    This honest realisation of yours is a huge step into the right direction! The good thing is that you can always come back to your known singing patterns at any time. But once you have overcome these obstacles and you establish more freedom you will most likely not like to go back. 😀
