Leviathan Axe? More of a heavy-hitter. You aim it at the head and you’d retrieve the axe along with some poor person’s spinal fluids. The Blades are more quick, sure, but it tackles radius more than it does ranged fights, so its more of a pull-push deal than anything. But the Spear? DAMN does it work wonders at a distance, and close-range isn’t bad either. Not to mention the experience of turning someone into a pin cushion then fragmenting them into a thousand pieces is amazing.

I’m pretty sure Brok was the smartest one out of the group. He legit knew how to beat Heimdall. He just doesn’t have the abnormal strength to back up his Genius. And for some weapons, you need that type of abnormal strength to even wield a god killer weapon. I feel like if Kratos legitimately wanted to Solo Kill Odin, Brok would’ve known what Weapon could do the exact job and would’ve gave Kratos advice on how to use it against him.

this is the turning point for Sindri's character. he didn't mind creating certain things for others, with things he didn't want or need anymore. then he gets mauled by Atreus as a bear and is asked to hand over Draupnir, which is something he actually still uses and cares about. Kratos then blames him for Atreus disappearing and makes a decision to potentially expose his secret from Brok. Brok's death is the final nail in the coffin.

I really appreciate how the game still showed the ring and its properties in a creative way before forging it into the spear. If it were like the Greek trilogy, they'd probably just name the spear with unlimited copies Draupnir and call it a day, but they first showed the original item from norse mythology. It also shows the ramifications such ring would have, like how knowing which is the multiplying one.

So something I didn't think about, which is concerning. Draupnir, as the artifact is in the mythology, has an enchantment that makes it 'drip' eight exact-copies of itself at the end of every ninth night. Which is remarkable, after a year you'll make roughly 320 rings; each made out of gold and could be worth a lot. Infinite money, basically. During this scene in the game, the Ring duplicates in Sindri's hands and he almost drops it, concerned that it's no longer the real one. It then duplicates again before he gives it to Brok, which relieves Sindri, and freaks me the fuck out. The timestamp for the first dupe is 2:51, the second at 3:53, roughly one fucking minute later. There are 1,440 minutes in a day. 8 per minute would mean Draupnir in the game makes 11,520 copies *every, single, day* "That is....I can't imagine.." - Freya lol Now, I don't know how long ago from that point Brok and Sindri stole Draupnir back, but assuming they started with just Draupnir and no other rings, they'd be handling 4,204,800 every year. That's not just infinite wealth. That's *unhinged* infinite wealth. That's gotta be one big ass hole they have or they really do use that much material lmao

Honestly thought of Brok's statement and he's right. Plenty for supplies since that hole was definitely designed to be far down in the Earth but they stopped after less than a minute of going down which means it's nearly fully of golden rings. More than a lifetime's money trove.

@@ktp01 That's not the point. The point is that it's way crazier than the original, AND Draupnir's mere existence in the world would shoot the value of gold over time to damn near nothing. Gold is dense, so a tiny ring like that could have some weight to it. Let's say, each ring weighs about 0.3 lbs each. After a year, they'd get a pile of 1,261,440 lbs of gold for free. That's stupid. They've honestly made a Treasure Trove that can't be found by anyone. As soon as it is, it'll be taken and spent willy nilly and then the treasure will lose all its value because of supply and demand. Honestly, it's a good thing they basically killed the Ring by making it into a Spear. Now the world just has a couples worth of those obscene piles of gold in the world that Sindri will probably keep secret. Otherwise, idfk what would've happened

There are about 1,329,832 Draupnir copies in the cave (+1 original)! Draupnir has been in that cave for about 4104 of our years. See below for math. Draupnir creates 8 copies of itself on every 9th day. Roughly 324 new rings appear during each of our years. This ring looks like it's about 1cm thick, and the average ring diameter for men is about 1.6cm. Accounting for material thickness, let's say each ring is (roughly) a cylinder with a radius of 1cm and a height of 1cm. This gives us a volume of 3.14 cubic centimeters. Densely packed circles (hexagonal arrangement) fill 91% of the space they occupy. Let's be charitable and say that the rings are packed fairly densely - maybe 80%, accounting for the fact that rings can intersect each other slightly and that a bunch of disc-shaped objects will most likely settle parallel to the floor. For the Z dimension, let's assume that the rings are stacked in 1.2cm-thick layers (it won't be perfect, obviously - I chose this arbitrarily). A cubic meter would contain about 21,165 rings. (~83 layers, each layer has a total area of 1000cm^2, 80% packing density = 800cm^2, 800 divided by cross-sectional area of ring (3.14cm^2) = ~255, 255 * 83 = 21,165.) The chamber appears to be fairly large, maybe 10 meters in diameter based on Sindri's size. We don't know how deep the rings are piled, but let's say that it's 2 meters. That's a total volume of ~62.8 cubic meters occupied by rings, which means that there are about 1329839 rings in the cave. However, Draupnir produces copies in increments of 8, so 1329839 % 8 = 7, which means that there are a total of 1329832 copies and 1 original in the cave. 1329832/324 new rings per year = 4104 years. Not gonna do the leap year calculation.

So the funny thing is that The Norns never said Heimdall would kill Atreus, only that he intended to. Kratos just jumped to that conclusion, and rushed off to kill him just like they said he would. They even mocked him for it. On top of their general mocking, that is. "Again he misses the point." "Focusing on the second act to the exclusion of the final. A common mistake in story-craft." Ironically, although their power is insignificant in comparison to the Greek Fates, it is because of that that they cannot be meaningfully defeated. They have no control over the story, they just call it like they see it; killing them would accomplish nothing.

Sindri just straight up looks like a sad puppy on his way down to grab the Draupnir ring, I really do wish things get better on his end in future game or maybe even DLC
