I loved her. Fiercely. I would grab my CD's, hop in the car, and head for the mountains...winding and winding and singing, screaming to every word. Twisting and turning, gorgeous vistas and this voice. I will never forget.

One of the saddest songs ever written and she delivered it perfectly

I've watched it a hundred times but thought at first it was sometime in 1985.

Of all the performers I've seen live Sinead O'Connor was one of the few who could transport you.

I was too young and immature to understand her when she hit the scene. Posthumously appreciating her art. She was so beautiful and so committed. One of the greatest female voices in history. Rest in peace. Now you can sing your angelic voice to your little man in heaven.

Absolutely one of my heroes. She was an absolute force of nature and we were lucky to have the time we had with her.

Tears keep coming over the last few days, because she went there..she gave a voice to all the pain and grief and rage that so many of us felt/feel and could never voice for whatever reason. Sinéad was a broken-hearted truth warrior. You can't be one without the other. Bha i Sgionneil..she was Brilliant..a bard..unapologetically fierce in her vulnerability. I pray, Sinéad, that you're holding your son across the veil. That it's all so unimaginably beautiful where you are now. Thank you for all of it. Fly you high.

This world judged this artist back in this day like the world judges no artist now. Shame on us. Most artists now don’t even compare. Honesty. Emotion. And talent. 30 years from now, some one else will say the same thing. Glad I was here.

I saw Sinead O'Connor live at Pinkpop in 1995. I always liked her and was a big fan from the start. Seeing her live left a big impression, not only on myself, whole Pinkpop was impressed. She was one of the few who silenced Pinkpop that day! Everyone was captured by her presence and voice. You did not only hear every word, you could feel what she was saying. If you want to know Sinead O'Connor, then listen to the album "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got". Then listen to all of her other albums, and you will find out what a great songwriter and artist she is. A great icon has passed away. She is in my heart and will stay there forever.

Where was that? I saw her in the US on her first tour in the States, her 3rd show, than in 90 at The Wall concert in Berlin. But she was so poorly treated in the US that I never got a chance to see her again!

She was the only one that spoke against the church and the catholic religion. Her famous action on SNL where she rebelled, off script, against the Catholic Church made her not popular in the US. It is a shame how they treated her in the US without getting to know her and her upbringing in Ireland and how religion torn her home country apart.

She sang like an angel. Now she is with them. Thanks for everything, we will miss you

I hope she will be remembered for way more than just her outspoken views which were always accurate and forthright and honestly felt but also her sheer musical talent and performance ability,there are not that many artists who can captivate like she can.This is Sinead at her most glorious and in her element when she was singing,the sheer power and force..nothing else like it.

the way she sings "I know your answer already" like it's all one word is just perfection.

An artist who, I hope, will be remembered long after she is gone, and also a beautiful person xx

An artist that was never recognized for the amazing talent she was. Not only an excellent musician with an angelic voice but a true writer! Lyrics that match very few. She had something to say and said it with no apologies. She got me through my teenage years and i loved her through all the years that followed. Rest in peace, Sinead. I admit, I am on a journey today to listen to her music that I ignored back in the day. I feel I must atone for having missed out on this incredibly talented woman's voice and songwriting. I am in tears with this song and have now listened to it 4 times. Rest in Power, talented angel.
