Absolutely amazing to see how many people from across the world loved Sinéad and her songs. Coming from the same town in Ireland as Sinéad O'Connor I, and many others probably took her for granted. Little did we know that we were soon to lose a national treasure, an icon. We should have taken more care of her. Suaimhneas síorraidhe a Shinéaid. Beidh tú i n-ár gcroidhe go deo na ndeor. Ní bheidh do leithéid ann aríst. Ba fhíor Gheadheal thú. Go codladh tú go sámh a Shinéaid. 😢🇮🇪

I watched this from start to finish and Damien, I thought the exact same thing. Completely misunderstood. But most people don't understand art in either the true or broad sense of the word. On the one hand she commands pity but on the other hand, awe and respect, and admiration. She's an amazing, beautiful & talented soul.

I would NEVER use that phrase to describe her. One-hit wonders didn't have amazing [multiple] albums. I'd describe her as someone who was consistently great & whose least enjoyable piece accidentally made it to the top-40.

I can't think of any vocalist that can sound simultaneously as tender, powerful and haunting as Sinead O'Connor. Her voice is otherwordly... within a few notes of listening, you are on another plane of existence until the last note is sung. And then you feel hollow, like the music filled you and pushed everything else out of you but now the music has drained away. Her a capella pieces are eerie in that it feels like there WERE instruments playing but her singing has completely silenced them, as if any other music dare not disturb the purity of her voice

By this time, I had memorize her entire first album The Lion and the Cobra. Most only know her for her rendition of Nothing Compares to U but her true fans loved her long before 1990. You are so correct in saying how pure and vulnerable her voice was. Her soul and pain was always present in her eyes. I have never been so connected with an artist nor have I ever respected an artist as much as her. The world treated her so horribly for speaking the truth but her true supporters never left her side. Sending love xxoo

I've never been her rock fan, but she always had my deep respect. This is a great song, very captivating and minimalist. A charming and talented being this Sinéad. Queen of the nineties.

Sinead rips through some archetypal stories that we can remember when we are just so, like a dream, like the past and the future. Like a Light. Thank you.
