Just found this channel and watched this today. Haha so funny because just yesterday I was trying on a little black dress, cause everybody needs a little black dress. But I go absolutely no where that requires a little black dress! Thank God I came back to reality and put it back. Also subscribing.

I’m on vacation next week and am going through my closet. It’s time. What I really liked about Mari Kondo’s book was that you shouldn’t feel guilty about getting rid of stuff.

I decluttered my bathroom closet (which was the bane of my exsistance) I put it off for MONTHS (or over a year...) And clearing it out was the best thing I could of ever done for myself! And yes whenever people came over I showed them my awesome closet (they didn't care, but I felt great about it)

Good for you girl! I feel better buying what I actually Want and Need. Besides, I think those boxes were all better in the beginning... now it's all crappy sample sizes from brands you've never heard of. SOME of the boxes look interesting still... but I don't need it. WE don't need it! High Five!!

Lol...I love your drawers, you're awesome. Ironically the cleanest drawer in my house is my junk drawer. It's a bunch of stuff that I do need when I need it every once in a while, but I'm working on getting all my drawers to be as beautiful as that drawer 😊💜

Great Video! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you thought about - Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a good one off guide for decluttering your home minus the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my cooworker at very last got excellent success with it.

Loved the video! I do have so much to declutter......baby steps!

Love how you sparkle. I gave up shopping, never liked shopping but knowing where every cent goes now really rocks. I have camping and fishing supplies. I really hate camping and I do not want to do any harm to any fish so I think those are going and the large shelf they take up too! Really love less.

This is a really helpful video! I like the organizers under your sink, but being a lot older than you, I can tell you that I have experienced three instances where the under-sink pipes leaked a bit and ruined everything stored under the sink before I noticed. This has happened in a new-build home, in a condo with newly installed sink and vanity, and in a nice apartment. Now, if I even store any items under my sinks, they are in narrow, tall-sided bins that protect everything inside from water. If I don't store anything under my sinks (best), I just put tall, plastic bins under the pipes -- just in case.

I so totally agree with taking what you can from the all the minimalists ....... I love the KomMarie method, but I don't talk to my home, clothes and things.......HOWEVER, I did follow her method of gathering ALL your items of one kind. My PURSES will be the hardest....😱. Makeup bag? I have a makeup basket and it stresses me out but it’s hard to part with stuff I’ve barely touched and I’m craving more palettes. I need an intervention! I see you have Paula’s Choice. LOVE Paula's Choice! Her line is what got me into skincare I think! Editing my beauty stuff was HARD but I find I use and love what I have even more now that it's edited down!

I thought I needed a bundt cake pan so I bought it...got rid of it. Twenty years later I have a super easy cake recipe that uses a bundt cake pan. I refuse to buy another one though. I have definitely learned to say no to free stuff, mainly food at work that my coworker keeps trying to give me LOL.

I would watch a " get ready with me" video for 2 reasons 1 I desperately need help cause I've got more makeup than I know what to do with and 2nd your system looks great & I like how you do your makeup. (Which I already mentioned)

I know this video is from almost a year ago, but I had to chime in about specialty baking pan. Many public libraries are starting to keep various non-book collections, for example baking pans. So, should you ever need a bundt pan...check to see if your local library has one you can borrow!

The question no one asks is why did they buy the stuff in the first place? am they going to continue buying stuff they don't need or use? -- not "here I am with a hoarder's house full of stuff and how do I organize it or dispose of it so I can make room for more needless stuff? Omg I know! I’ll never be a minimalist... but there are many great ideas from the minimalist movement that inspire me!

I really like decluttering ... but joy alone won’t do. Its not like most of my socks bring me joy, but they are functional ... now if a specific pair of socks sparks hate, because there are holes in it or whatever and it bugs me when i pick that one, that is when i throw them out. I will never have “x items or less” but my rule is it needs to fit in my closet. Once it starts feeling full, take out my worn out pieces, which are already replaced anyway by the items that were added in.

Yes! You've nailed the one flaw in the Kondo method... some things are a necessity with zero joy! I like your idea of something sparking hate though!... I have so many things don't function properly and should be replaced, etc. Sounds like you have it down!!

the one thing i don't get is how lame women have gotten sucked into the consumer buying umteen brushes to put make up on their face. i have NEVER owned a brush. i could see using a small one for the eyes and one for cheeks, and maybe 1 for lips . no one needs 10 or whatever . just a thought. blessings on your journey to simplifying your life. Lisa VanDenBerghe I love using brushes... as long as they don't take up too much space in my tote. But don't you need a brush for face powder, bronzer, blush at minimum (considering you use those face products)? I much prefer using a brush for my foundation and concealer bc I don't like getting my hands all messy. But it's totally a personal preference!

I have just started using eyeshadow brushes and it has completely changed my makeup for the better. You can not blend with your fingers.

That’s a bit rude, Lisa. Maybe you don’t use a different brush for your face, blush, contour, eyes etc., but I guarantee you that they all have a use. Just because you don’t invest in these products, it doesn’t mean you have to put other people down by calling them lame and acting as if you’re somehow more enlightened than people who want to get the most out of their makeup.

Lisa VanDenBerghe What's worse to me is when people judge others without knowing what they're talking about. Brushes are a staple in my makeup, it makes everything easier, look better, and since different parts of my face have different sizes and shapes I do need brushes to accommodate that.
