    Top tip doing it with a gas torch is wrap some silver foil around it a 2 or 3 layers is plenty, stops any heat burns.

    Good stuff. Using the Driver head to remove adapter was the step I was missing. Cheers mate!

    Hi . The tork screw snapped in the adaptor on m4 .. can the adaptor be removed when the screw is still in the adaptor..thanks

    Honestly I'm not sure, but if you can't, depending on the size of the torque screw you could probably drill it out and then get the adapter off. And then buy a new torque screw

    Can't you screw the clubhead partially onto the adapter and pull?

  • @U2binator

    @U2binator

    That's what I did basically, the glue literally had no force left at all so you can pull, twist, whatever.

    Yes, put a washer on the tip screw and pull on the washer. Ideal if you want to save the shaft and not twist loose the graphite fibres.

    Do you have a trick for removing the adaptor on M series? They have a plastic casing on them that melts when heated.

  • @U2binator

    @U2binator

    I don't. Are you sure it's plastic?

  • @paulkellygolf

    @paulkellygolf

    @@U2binator absolutely. I've done numerous ones the past year. The top of the adaptor has a plastic casing that indicates the settings. When you apply even a little heat it melts. The adaptor is still perfectly functional but doesn't show the settings and looks unfinished.

    @@paulkellygolf yep mines isn't metal like the old days now it's hard plastic and melts, I'm gonna broil some hot water and let the water sit for a minute then stick the tip of the adapter into the water to cover only the adapter, I'm doing it today.

    I don’t have any sort of a setup in my garage but I have a rubber clamp and can use a torch…can I get the same result? I just want to remove a TM sleeve off this shaft and install a Callaway sleeve…

    Is it possible to remove the screw within the driver head? My screw is .25mm too small for the shaft I got and I’d rather change it than change tips if possible..

    That's a good question, you might search KZread for how to remove the screw, you may have to drill it out.

    @@U2binator yeah I’ve had a look and found nothing! Guna have to just swap the tips over from my old shaft to the new one. Weird how some driver adapter kits come with new screws and washers so no idea but oh well! Thanks for the reply and the informative video! Hopefully I don’t cock it up lol

    Could you use a gas cooker flame instead of a torch?

    I wasn't trying to save the adapter buy it could possibly yes, be careful, one person commented you could wrap it in aluminum foil prior to heating to help, you could try that.
