Simple Loc Wash Day Routine | 4 Months No Retwist

In this video I am talking you through my wash day routine. Using Castile Soap and Design Essentials Almond Butter Conditioner. I dilute my conditioner with water. I also added vitamin E oil and Grapeseed oil. I typically shampoo 3 times with Dr Bonner’s Castile Soap. This brand was very drying so I just went through twice. I diluted my conditioner and let it sit on my hair while I showered. This is the same routine I use whether I am retwisting my locs or not. This time I did retwist after shampooing my locs. Check out that video here:

I’m 4 months locd and i just washed my hair yesterday without a retwist and i love it. It was also my first time washing it myself and not letting my loctician wash it! I do want to learn how to retwist myself eventually!

How do you prevent the locs from marrying with going so long without a retwist?

They do get attached. Brushing helps separating them before they dry after a wash helps too.
