wow, I did it! I cut my hair by myself for the first time. Thank you, Sophie, for the tutorial!!
Love this more intimate channel Sophie! 💗
Seriously!!! This was so easy & my hair came out AMAZING! I’m not by any means experienced. Follow the steps in this video & you’ll be happy. Thank you!!! ❤❤❤ This will be a lifelong use for me
You are a ROCKSTAR! I cut my own bangs and I am happy being able to do it. It saves so much time and money. I used to pay for so many services including nails and facials. It’s so nice and surprisingly easy to these things myself. What a time and money saver! I use Color shampoo too instead of dye, I’m so happy with the results 🎉
You have beautiful hair, the hair cuts seems easy, thanks for sharing.❤
Just what I needed! :) I'm gonna try asap!
Love you Sophie! ❤️❤️❤️
thank you for this video, I'm definitely going to try this method 💕💕💕
this was really helpful, thanks for sharing!
I use a very similar process as you, but my hair is much longer and thicker, so the process takes hours. For example, I cut 4 different layers instead of just the one, and I texturize the ends a bit more than you do. Thanks for showing how to properly section hair in your tutorial-many people don’t realize this step is critical to getting a balanced, professional looking result. One tip is that the thicker the hair, the more sections you will need. Also, for extra long hair, you cannot lift layers up or out-I’ve adapted to cutting all hair at the front. Constantly checking the back view with a mirror is also very important! Hope more people feel confident to cut hair at home-it’s not always easy, but it’s a great skill to develop!
perfect, so great idea and video, congrats
You have beautiful hair, thank you for the tip!

I’ve been interested in cutting my own hair for a while since my previous stylist moved. But I found out a friend of my sisters, who is a hair stylist, was just diagnosed with cancer. I think I will be seeing her instead for now and experiment with cutting mine later 💜

Since deciding to keep my curly hair in a short bob , I have been asking my boyfriend to help me with the cut. And he's supper happy given I finally gave him the chance to do so. Its so much fun :) I really loved this video, so relaxing to watch. You have a beautiful hair

I just cut my hair last week and I hate it :( Too short, now I need to wait around 3 months until I will like it! This is the first time when I cut my own hair and I do not like it! I always cut it myself and always loved it but not this time! I thought it was long enough when it was wet but then when dry was way too short. My advise for your community (as you also said) cut less and then eventually cut some more, don't start too brave :) Cut longer than what you think that you want then see how it dries! Great video Sophie, always extremely glad to watch you! xxx

yes!! really good advice. I also made so many mistakes before and now I'm rally conservative with how much I cut. I'm sure you still look gorgeous though!

Hey there. Don't worry, usually fresh cut hair tend to bounce up a little but eventually it will hang out in around 2 weeks so it won't look too short anymore, I guess ☺️ Happens to me all the time.
Thank you that was wonderful

Your hair is so beautiful and the end result is super cute! I wish I can do this but I have curly hair so I think it will a little different to cut. I am actually in desperate need of a haircut asap!! My hair is super super long but I just need a trim and maybe a few soft long layers. Do you have dye in your hair? Or is that the sun changing your color a bit? Btw I still check your Poshmark here in there for new posts 😁 I'm on the look for skirts and dresses!

Hi Sophie, thanks for the tutorial. How often do you trim/cut your hair? I’m still trying to figure out my routine since I’m in the process of growing it out.

My hair grows really long, so I like to trim it every 4-5 months. This way, the ends always look really full and healthy:)

Also good to do it when the moon is rising, not going smaller💜 i dont know how it is said in english but i hope you understood what i mean. Moon phases✨️
@XxAxX16
2 жыл бұрын
@@soulofjo Yes, I’ve heard about moon phases and a lot of conflicting opinions on which phase of the moon to cut! I think when the moon is rising makes the most sense. So like, during the new moon?
@cristinagibson3157
2 жыл бұрын
@@XxAxX16 during the waxing phase! So from the new moon to full moon. I also like to trim my hair and then bury it, under a full moon. I'm Guarani, and my native self wants my hair to go back to the Earth. 💖🌌💖 Trimming during the waxing moon (a growing moon) symbolizes growth.
@soulofjo
2 жыл бұрын
@@XxAxX16 You are right, it is more simple just to think that it is good to do on a rising moon. Ofcourse there are exact days but it is not that important💜✨️🧚♀️

It's from tjmaxx. I painted it white
I wanted this hairs , ever
Question, why so you cut your hair dry? Why does it work better for you? I dont know if I should cut my hair dry or wet.
❤
Short, thin hair: I switched to cutting my own hair years ago. I have quite thin, short hair so it doesn't take me long. I simply tie my hair in a LOW pony tail and cut it off with hair cutting scissors. This will give you a look that's shorter at the back and longer at the front, so then I quickly shorten the front of my hair in front of a mirror. Easy peasy. Just remember, if you don't like the style you end up with, you can always pay to go to a hair dresser afterward!
💖💖💖
My hair is too long and thick to pull it upwards to cut the layers, what happens if you pull it forward in an angle? You'd end up with shorter layers in the front, right?
Great video thanks for share and send you all my love hope you will send your love back nice day and see you soon best greetings from Thailand Korat ❣.😇. Merry christmas time to you and your family
