Simple closet shelves you can build in a weekend to get organized! | Modular shelves

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

gumroad.com/l/closetshelving
In this tutorial we will walk through the process of building closet shelving. The shelves are built using plywood and pine boards. You can find the downloadable plans here:
This is a weekend project and the cost to build the shelves was $278.00. I found similar closet shelves at the store and online for between $650 - $900, so building them myself saved quite a bit of money.

I would love jack clamps! I didn't even know they existed. I wish I had known a few weeks ago when I dropped a wall cabinet shell on my foot, breaking it. My foot, not the cabinet. I built the cabinet like a boss.

Love the project! I recommend cutting the shelving depth back about 3/4" and using some 1x material to make the faces instead of the banding. Make the faces a little wider than the plywood and it really gives it a lot of extra strength!

As a woodworker and family handyman and the father to 3 young (all in their 20s) men, that are all starting their first households. Pete thanks for the awesome videos! I'd like to throw my name out there for the jack clamps because I'm 25 and have been remodeling my own house for the last two and a half years now. My wife is expecting any time now with our first child and now that a lot of my remodel projects are wrapping up I'm wanting to get into doing more wood working and building stuff for our new little girl, but being a full time student now has cut my budget quite a bit from what it was and clamps are something that I'm actually lacking. I remodeled our nursery this summer knowing that we would need it do be done in November. Having amazing hard wood floors from the early 40's I decided to sand them down and refinish them, but because of that I had to rip out the old closet shelving since they rested on the floor. This video was very inspirational and I can't wait to build the closet shelves for my wife and new little baby Nora!

I would love a set of jack clamps. Honestly I didn’t even know they existed, there are so many DIY and Reno projects I haven’t been able to do bc I had no one to help me. My wife is always busy having to watch our two babies to help out, plus with two babies, anything free is always helpful as well.

Pete, I'm REALLY loving your videos, tips & tricks. This past weekend I made your patio chair - started out with a pine version to make sure I wouldn't mess it up, and it came out great, so thanks for that! I'd LOVE a set of jack clamps - I have to work alone as I'm a single father, but my daughters are at an age where they are too cool to help their old dad :).

Anyway I am 78 years old and can't lift cabinets like I once did so the Jack Clamps would really be an asset in my set of tools. I do a lot of volunteer work for under privileged folks and widows. Thanks and keep up the good work.

We are going to be building our first set of upper cabinets for our kitchen as the house we just bought for some reason didn't have any. These jack clamps would be perfect for us. And when I say us I mean my hubby since he'll be the primary one trying to install them once built as he doesn't let me lift anything "heavy". Thanks for this awesome built and your cabinet building series. I have them saved under my favorites for reference.
