You can also add frozen chopped broccoli florets makes a great potato broccoli soup.

Mama Sue, I have ovarian cancer and haven't been able to eat anything. I have a sensation in my mouth that can be compared to pins and needles. I just can't eat. I thank you for sharing this recipe. I've reached a point that I'm willing to try anything, and this looks good. The dietician recommends drinking Ensure or Premier Protein to get protein but I even struggle with that. May your years ahead be bright. Amazing grace will see us through!

I know my Mom after she had her chemo started feel better and then it was time to take another treatment .It will be 28 years this December 20th 2024 my Mom has been in Heaven. Paradise. I miss and love her but I wouldnt call her back the shape she was in. Mama Sue I am glad you could find something to eat after your treatment and hope you feel much better. I make this often. I love it! I top it with shredded cheese and bacon bits.

I did try this, and it was great. My husband loved it so much it is now on the weekly rotation of meals I make. I have shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and bacon for toppings. It's delicious

Looks deeeelicious Mama Sue!😋 If I remember correctly, O'Brien potatoes also contain bell peppers and onions, so that would turn it into a 5-ingredient soup if you buy regular hash browns like Sue is using here!...Looks easy and delightful either way, and I will be most definitely making this one real soon! The O’Brien potatoes have peppers and onion so if you wanted that flavor you would need to add those to the soup.

This is my husbands favorite soup that I first made when I found this during Covid. I follow it but get the potatoes with onion & peppers. I also add bacon to it. I use the Costco chicken broth & add a teaspoon of better than bouillon (Chicken flavor). I top with sour cream, cheese & green onion.

I made this soup for my husband and we both love it. He wants to take the ingredients to the lake and make the soup and Cheeseburgers for his fishing buddies.

We do too! 😛 I always made a yummy potato soup wen our kids were growing up. It was a simple/easy & delicious recipe tht I got from an "ol soul." I jus don't make potato soup as much anymore with it being jus 3 of us bt also I always forget Abt it. 🤦😮 I saved "mama sues tata soup" recipe for a fast/easy/& quick recipe wen I'm craving tata soup. I've seen so many simple & easy recipes for "tata soup" bt 80% of them use frozen tatas/hasbrwns. "Homade Potato soup" has always be my #1 most fav soup ever! 💯💯💯 Tho I do still luv it bt my new #1 fav soup ever which has tatas in it is the viral/trending "bacon cheeseburger soup" & theres ALOT of diff recipes for "cheeseburger soup" bt I prefer the "bacon cheeseburger soup" recipe tht I found on yt the very 1st time.🤤 If u have NVR had this soup....I VERY HIGHLY recommend it! JS😉 (PS. I highly recommend using bacon bc it takes it up a notch. Also use "real" bacon with a lil of tht bacon greese bc it takes it over the top!)
