To be fair. Without Man City, Chelsea and now Newcastle, literally no one would be able to compete economically with Man Utd, Real Madrid and Barcelona. I'm not convinced that having a rich owner is that much less honourable than being well off because you jumped on the capitalisation of football as soon as you could (plus Madrid and Barca have also received state money but thats a mostly separate issue).

‘I am a Man City, but I’M talking facts’. There it is. Right there. The exact reason why BS arguments like this are irrelevant, pointless and boring whenever anyone with potential bias opens their mouth in sport. And watching Sinclair embarrass himself by being salty that not everyone is caressing themselves in joy at City buying again just reminds me of that fact.

No he expects the same treatment that is given to every other club. When Lfc sign a 50m player in January they're lauded. They dont include the wages and agents fee. City sign a 50m player they lie and claim its 65m, include wages and agents fee. And this isn't the first time. Same thing happend with Sterling and Walker.

Haaland stats are crazy, he earned a big money deal by his performances in the UCL and Bundesliga. The credit for this deal goes to the City management team who saw through this purchase on quite reasonable terms, rather than the 1m euros a week his agent had originally been talking about.

There's nothing wrong with some kind of bias when there are good reasons for it e.g. good Vs evil, hard work Vs luck/nepotism etc.
