In 1999, BMI named "The Sound of Silence" as the 18th-most performed song of the 20th century. In 2004, it was ranked #156 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, one of the duo's three songs on the list. "

Laura Pearson looks like he was about to commit a mass murder. But then he saw this performance and it changed his whole outlook on life.
Look at the picture qaulity and listen to the sound quality, the netherlands always had the best of cameras and mics.That's the reason their movies and series sucked, looked like a damned documentary!

Before they changed the title from Sounds to Sound. What is the name of the guitar technique he uses starting at :50? It isn't basic strumming. It has a special sound. They took the tempo way too fast in those earlier years.

Does anyone know where you can get this particular HQ recording? It's from a 1966 Dutch TV-special called "Twien", on a channel called "NCRV" - though I haven't figured out where you can get the recording yet. This particular video is in incredible quality: does anyone know where the poster got it from?
