This video is VERY misleading. Do Not do what this guy does! He actually broke/ruined two of the stepper motors from what I can see in the video. And dis-coloration doesn't always mean something is BAD. The discoloration you're seeing is from the incandescent bulbs that put off a little heat after being on for a while, causing the slight browning of the PCB.

the pins came right out of the motors there was no way to remove the needles without the pins breaking. Whatever dude. replaced them too and all working great. now.

Don’t have to replace them if you don’t break them. I’ve done hundreds of clusters and have never done that. Nor have I started replacing parts because they were discolored, without diagnosing them first.

That’s not a blow dryer either . It’s to shrink heat shrink tubing . But you keep on doing the wrong things with stuff you don’t even know how to use . See how much stuff you never fix

@@jodybanks5344 dude. I never said anything about a blow dryer I don’t know what you’re talking about.... but the lights. I use don’t require adding a resistor and heat shrink. Mine are all built in and look much cleaner. And I’ve never had a comeback man. Just telling you I you can take the motors out without breaking the pins off. Trust me, I’ve done hundreds of jobs man. If anything you should be taking notes. That’s how you can ruin a cluster. But you keep doing it that way, we’ll see where it takes you.

I believe there is a cable that is attached to the steering column. Mine was completely blank. but once i soldered it worked perfectly.

Couldn't I just take a picture of the cluster before I pull the needles, and put them back in the same positions that way?
