Been quite a long while... good to see ya Tac. Here at Alaska Raft Connection... I use the BigBoy2000 xl teeth with KatanaBoy500 for running remote destination fly-out river trips. Both great saws! Highly applicable carry as a pair. The BigBoy2000 sits perfectly in the accessory pouch of the KatanaBoy500 carry bag. Run those, plus a Skrama240 knife; and it's the go-to for me on Alaska's wild rivers. Also awesome combo to have for the winter snowmobile trips!!! Hope all is well in your camp.

Dude the bigboy 2000 is a beast. I got the outback edition (when it was on sale, obv lol)... cuts like a laser, love the handle and black finish on the blade. Badass saw, will last a very long time. Rock on, Tac.

Silky saws also have a nice sharp spine for scraping fatwood or a ferro rod.

I think that second position on the blade allows you to more easily cut trees that are flat on the ground without digging the saw tip into the dirt.

I got both, the large tooth and the fine tooth. I use the fine for dead wood, and the large tooth for live stuff

If I have ever had a need for one I am absolutely getting a silky saw.

I keep a smaller silky saw in my hunting pack for brushing up blinds or trimming branches when I'm going up trees in my climbing stands and keep this saw in my side-by-side... I love there saws they freakin rock!!

I think the odd angle is for cutting something lying on the ground, so you don't drag your knuckles in the dirt.

That tree is sick. Seeing you hung it gave me a funny feeling. 😆 no funny stuff. I have that saw in two different styles. That curved one, and the straight blade with finer teeth. Good to see you sir.

Tac look into the Silky Outback editions. They have a coated blade that can be used for bone and the handle is some type of awesome composite material which is way better than that rubber shit.
