Thanks for sharing. I'm setting this up with an HDHomeRun Flex Duo tomorrow. Tired of broadcast fees when I mostly watch streaming apps. What antenna did you go with? Consumer Reports rated the WInegard FlatWave Amped antenna the best. It's going for $60 on Amazon. Lots of folks seem to like the "U Must Have" antenna. I bought both to test with. Also bought a noise reducer that filters 4g/5g noise. That is suppose to help clean up noise from the antenna feed.

I have an old antenna that I got 10ish years so not sure. sorry I can't help on that and I don't have any filters

how is working now? is the dvr function working well? do you use it on your main TVs through something like Roku?

the main TV is a vizio so we can watch plex that way in the bedroom we have Roku

This is not only a discontinued product but the page on SiliconDust doesn't exist anymore. I bought one new less than a year ago. ATSC 3.0 is VERY slow to rollout and will have a lot problems with TVs not able to decode newer codecs like H.265. Mine still works as no station in Omaha are upgrading in the near future. (Only one of the 6 has even mentioned NEXT-GEN TV (ATSC 3.0's Marketing name)).

Not all the Apps expose the record button. The Apple TV allows you to start recording whilst watch by pulling down the info pane and tapping record. On other apps you have to use the Browse area. Plex buffers the channel content.

Purchased a HD Homerun and it works great when it works. About once a week it locks up and I have to remove the third party software and reload, Then it works for about a week and then it locks up. Stopped using it.

what apps do you use? I just use Plex and haven't had a problem

okay since posting that we've been doing the floor in our living room and I had to unplug it, and then I had to completely remove it from Plex and then reinstall it and then it would work again. so, I'm not quite sure why it wouldn't just reconnect back up but there was some work to it

@@tanistech5770 what videos I've seen on KZread the HD home run device has to be set up with a computer to download the new software and channel list I don't have a computer I was asking somebody if I could do it with my smartphone but nobody will get back to me let me know will you get back to me thank you
