I was weary about the very procedural gameplay of this one, but I am enjoying the playthrough a lot. The game managed to get me immersed and raised my awareness of how difficult and time consuming a submarine campaign in WWII was, which turns every sinking of an enemy merchant into an event to be savoured and commemorated. Cheers!

25:36 - The merchant in column B with the -2 TDC marker actually has an effective -4 TDC. Re-attack brings it down to -3, then aggressive posture brings it down to -4. It has been confirmed that the modifiers for attack posture can go outside of the -3 to +3 range. See the Updates, Clarifications & Corrections document on CSW.

1:18:20 - It didn't end up making a difference, but you forgot the -1 for the merchant being damaged. Quite an accomplishment sinking two ships in one attack with the -2 torpedo value though!

51:02 - the "Tons x 1000" marker is used to track millions of tons. You should use the "Tons x 1" marker to track thousands of tons (it's a bit confusing I know). Also, don't forget to track number of ships sunk.

10:13 - After a no contact roll, you need to roll again to see if you encounter an enemy sub or a loner. See [13.1], [14.6], and [28.1].

20:08 - You do have to count the 1/2 ASW, even if submerged. You add all of them together and then round. See [2.5], [14.16.C], and [14.2.A.1].

22:40 - the +1 for aggressive attack posture is drm, it doesn't get added to your defense value. Those two drm's in section B are supposed to be with the other drm's in section C. They get applied after subtracting B from A. (edit) Looks like you figured it out. 😊

38:00 - Those reinforcements and withdrawals don't happen until the first week of February.

52:30 - The 2 1/2 ASW value should be rounded up to 3, not down to 2 for the counterattack. See [14.2.A.1].

Hey all, but shouldn't 1/2 ASW value be rounded up? (should be 1 ASW for calculation).

rounded up in the counterattack sequence while rounded down in the attack sequence, if I'm not mistaken.

It's actually rounded up in both. In the attack sequence it says to round down the result after subtracting the target's value from the attacker's value, which gives the same result as rounding the ASW value up before subtracting. In not sure why they worded it that way - seems confusing to me.
