Ok I really like this narration style, rather than being a strict serious script it feels like having a friend casually explain the game for you and it's a cozy and comfortable experience. Bringing up the konami announcement subject added more to that feeling. Comfy and really interesting ☺️

The narration didn’t feel noticeably different to any of his other videos for me. I personally think Ricky does an amazing job at scripting and narration, kudos Ricky!

@@DeadAndAliveCat what a bizarrely hostile reply for such a nice comment
Imagine a horror game story with a speedrunning protagonist. The monsters are popping out of every corner doing their level best to scare the protagonist, who is beelining right past them without sparing them a glance, let alone shooting at them, to the hidden hallway the protagonist should have no way of knowing exists, before stopping and intentionally dislocating their ankle to turn 270 degrees in 1/30 of a second to enter the hallway with no decrease in walk speed and no signs of pain despite their feet now facing two different directions. Later, the protagonist is trapped in a locked room with monsters slowly approaching and a creepy monologue in the background when suddenly there's a rapid clicking. The monsters look to the protagonist whose hand is a twitching, inhuman blur as they turn the knob to the locked door 60 times a second, waiting for the first frame after the monologue to open it. Then they notice both hands are on the shotgun the protagonist is holding. Halfway through it starts getting really freaky when the protagonist walks into a room, turning to face one particular corner and continuously walking into it while hopping in place for 37 seconds, then suddenly twisting into a pretzel *still* with no apparent signs of pain and passing into the wall while the monsters stare on, horrified. Also: 42:27 If you're reading this Mr. ThaRixer, it's pronounced 'tair-oh' cards.

I feel like that’s how a lot of people would do it in real life lol
I would watch so many more random Speedruns of games I've never played if they were narrated like this. Knowing what is going on and all the techniques being used just kept this interesting and addictive throughout.

I'm in bed with a high fever listening to an explanation of a Speedrun of a game from a series I've never batted an eye at. And little by little I feel my self getting better. Your videos are truly incredible 🙏
Your scripts are great - really enjoy the cadence of delivery. Clear concise and with the right amount of pauses to give some space. Keep it up!
I have to say, as someone who isn’t really in the speedrunning community, your channel is probably my favorite on KZread right now. These videos are so well done and I’ve watched each like 6 times now. Hope you are doing well and I can’t wait to see future content! Also it’s criminal you don’t have more subscribers!
Regular gameplay: A nightmarish psychological horror. Speed Runner gameplay: A brisk jog through Detroit.
I really enjoy how the in-game timer inspires different strats to what the usual overlay/out-of-game timer would.
Oh shit, I discovered your channel really recently, and watched your other silent hill speedrun videos a couple of weeks ago, so it's very cool I managed to catch this one as it was uploaded!
I can't thank you enough for the detail you go into on these vids, it really does help people who are completely new to the runs. Worked wonders on the sh2 vid and now this one is just as good if not better.
6 months no video. My heart hurts. Please release something?!?!?!?
Honestly, I'm intrigued by silent hill f. The final shot of the trailer is really chilling and unexpected. I honestly thought they were just gonna play a jumpscare

i'm really excited for shf, mostly because of who's writing it. ryukishi07 might not be a name most silent hill fans recognize (particularly in the west, even if most his visual novels and their manga/anime adaptations have been translated into english over the years), but i've been a fan of his work for well over a decade now. imo he's a great fit for writing that silent hill type of horror that combines psychological and supernatural elements
Little known fact. Rixer is actually there live for a lot of these world record runs. It's pretty interesting to see the point of view of someone that was there live.
An awesome video for an awesome game!! I watched a lot of content on KZread (speedrun, video games, mangas, workout, beers crafting, weapons crafting, true crime, etc...) but you Ricky is easily one of my favorite KZread content creator, keep up the good work and thank you, greetings from Belgium.
Now THIS is a FULL ANALYSI.. oh, the game's already over.

Thank you so much!!! I was waiting for this video like crazy!
I usually watch your Silent Hill videos a couple times throughout the year (they help me sleep). I forgot this was a Halloween tradition of yours until this hit my feed on Monday. Thank you for giving me a weeks worth of entertainment as I slowly work through it. Looking forward to any game being covered for your yearly Halloween tradition.

Sick. Love watching SR explanations. Thanks for always delivering the GOOD shit, king.
Love this videos! Thank you so much for your dedication each year!
Was waiting for this! Just found your channel and watched the SH 1 and 2 videos and I wondered if you had given up or you were still going to make the SH 3 video! Glad to see you are still around!
I usually only watch shorts or 2 min videos , but the way you explain , and narrate just makes me get hooked into watching a full 1h , appreciate the effort put ❤ thank you .
I was watching you silent hill 2 video and literally was wondering if you were gonna put another one out, awesome narration as always ty!
Great narration and gameplay. Felt very cozy watching it
watching speedruns with your great and entertaining explanation really is fun!

Hope ur doing good bro, love the content
Love these every year Ricky
Great narration. I love Tomato's speedrun explanations, however your commentary is perfect IMO. Just facts and calmer. Keep up the great work.
I love these Halloween SH speedruns. It's always interesting just how many tiny factors would go completely unnoticed by casual players. I hope you (and I) find time to play through SH4 and a good WR appears before next Halloween, but if it doesn't, I suppose the logical shuffle would be to Resident Evil, which I assume is fairly similar to speedrun besides inventory juggling replacing most puzzle work. Either way, I'll be sure to keep watching!
This is an example of what I'd call perfect content. Keep up the good work Ricky
WE NEED MORE RICKMAN. As long as you can do them and still live a healthy life of your own choice and have fun creating this content. I’ve binged most of your videos in a week and subscribed after the first time, these are seriously great!
I've been waiting for this for over a year!
This is the first one I've been able to catch as soon as it uploaded. I feel like it's my birthday and Christmas all at once!
Oh this is so rad, I finally went back and finished this game fully like 4 days ago, ready to go check out the speedrunning scene behind it, and you manifest this? Very exciting, Happy Halloween!
The video we were all waiting for! 🙌
Oh cool! I found the first two literally the day the Silent Hill livestream was supposed to air and binge watched them to pass the time for the game announcements, glad to see the third one's up!
I just saw your vid on SH2 and this drops. Good.
perfect timing for this video with all the new silent hill hype.
These videos are so good! My favourite part of each year's halloween is knowing that one of these will come out!
i really enjoy your videos. keep making more :)
Great vid Ricky, I never played SH but it was pretty cool and easy to understand
your narration made this a very comfy video to watch :)
Was expecting this, didn't disappoint. 🙏 Happy Halloween! ^^
Thank you for your work! Truly a Halloween special
Just got your Silent hill 2 video recommended and watched it. When i heard that you were planning to release a SH3 video this year i wondered if you released it already and would you look at that, there it is, uploaded only 3 hours ago. Great video btw!

I love this series...can we call it series...it technicaly has three episodes now :D Anyway, I cannot believe it is a year ago already when I watched the last Sillent Hill World Record video. More than a year of watching your videos then, yet it feels like yesterday when I stumbled upon your channel.
I’ve been waiting for this!
Great commentary, I really enjoyed it.
Your voice makes me think of them "how it's made" video's. Very relaxing and the topic is way more interessting. Cheers.
Awesome SH videos! Great job 😸
I love your silent hill videos!!!
i like commentary like this feels good and easy to understand what you are talking about and not to serious
People will never appreciate how insanely hard just the movement is in this run. Big props
Bro I don't speedrun myself nor do I follow it. Yet here I am loving your videos and hoping for new releases every day!
I don't mind if next year's special doesn't cover a SH speedrun. Your narration style when covering these specials make it an even better watch (or listen to) whenever I need something playing in the background. The details your writing gives makes it easy to follow the run and easy to understand. I just hope that you'll keep on making videos for as long as you find 'em fun to make.
I love this annual tradition of yours. Makes my already favourite day of the year that much better. Also, thank you for having subtitles, especially on a video of this length.
Congrats to deathtropes on the WR and to you for a great video
i wait for this every year! total banger.
I genuinely treasure these SH speedrun explanations as some of the highlights of youtube each year for the past few years now.
Has it really been another year already? This video series is starting to be how I track the passage of time.
You need to make some more videos bro, I'm FIENDING. I must have watched the seaport strip video about fifty times now.
I really have enjoyed these Silent Hill videos every year, shedding light on a series I haven't gotten to play yet. This is just an idea, but if you can't do a video on Silent Hill 4 next year, I think it would be really cool to see a video on a Resident Evil game.
i like that you uploaded this in 4:3. :)
love these videos!
awesome video great commentary
Please keep making these videos man 🤘
This channel doesn't miss, can't wait to watch this
u and summoning salt got great voice i subbed love it
I could never play these games myself. THey'd freak me out too much. Watching Speedruns of them is actually more palatable to me, especially in this style. So thanks Rixer.
For someone like me who is totally out of touch with the speedrun scene, I love your videos, they are fun, interesting and well explained for a neophyte! Thanks for your content :)
After you apologized for the jumpscare at 35:59 you won my like.

Another great video Rix! Looking forward to viewing more quality entertainment.
ive been waiting for this literally since the silent hill 2 video
Wow, I just found DT's channel last week. This is great
ok so i just discovered your channel and please please please i implore you to cover halo speedruns/ speedrunners, the history there i CRAZY man and i really wanna see you cover this type of stuff, i recently got into the speedrunning community in halo, and im genuinely considering becoming one such speedrunner
These videos are so great! I wish you could cover more horror games, but maybe keep Silent Hill as an annual tradition?
If SH4 is off for next year, maybe a Parasite Eve wr might be a cool substitute to see?
loved this halloween special, cant wait for whatever next years ends up being, silent hill or not.
lol dude i hate the hair dryer pickup. "And you got this long corridor right before it, just so you can overthink how you're gonna screw it up" - hits hard man. True and real. Loved the vid (:
Thank you, i really wanted to get into SH3 speedrunning, that'll be extra help for me.
