@@MrWineTaster1997 That damn Sand Shark. . . Why, why did it have to be the main vehicle. I wish atleast in hero mode you could've picked anyone you wanted regardless of the mission. Like the Dune Jumper, I had endless hours of fun screwing around with that thing.
Just want to say love the real-time top-down map overview of the level. Really helps people like me who have never played Jak 3 understand why certain skips were so important when you can see what it's meant to look like and where the time is being saved. So many other speedrunning channels don't have any sort of comparison or overview like that and just assume you're familiar with speedrun strats and why they're done. (Goddamn resident evil 4 videos never explaining the weird rank system and that they take damage because it literally makes the game easier)

I am so into seeing the three of you guys working together to figure out the best route, and then competing, but also supporting each other. All three of you had to at least have a 16. So awesome.
Rule of thumb: any level with a change of physics/control style runs a very high risk of being incredibly unpopular. Vehicle sections, water levels, ice physics, puzzle levels, playing as secondary characters... yeah, it's not fun to effectively be playing a different game to the one you're playing.

There's nothing wrong with water levels, I honestly just feel like some people are too dumb lol Even when I was a kid I didn't struggle with them that much. And either way overcoming challenges is enjoyable. When you guys do get a game that has everything removed that you don't want, usually it ends up being completely boring and garbage

I just love how we’re learning about random videogame players and their habits when trying to play a decades old game - that’s how well the video is presented
This was an absolute blast to watch. Not only did I learn a ton about a game and a speedrun scene I thought I knew fairly well, but this was so entertaining to watch. The way in which you retell the push for 16 perfectly captures what it was like to watch all 3 of you live when it happened earlier this year. I think this is easily your best video to date from both an informative and an entertaining angle. Thank you so much for putting these out. Can’t wait for the next video!
Absolutely dope video as always. And the flow and pacing, on point. Every time I watch a video, it always makes me want to boot up whichever game and run through it all over again
I remember my older brother using every curse word he knew going though this level. After he completed it, my parents had to have a talk with him about his video game addiction and how it was affecting his life.
Toy Story 2's Tarmac Trouble song at 13:29 was something I did not expect at all, but I thouroughly enjoyed it, just like the rest of the video. Ricky, a man of culture indeed. Amazing content as always!
BYR just seems like a situation of, “holding down the gas doesn’t mean you’ll win the race knowing when to break is the difference between winning and losing.” Everyone’s basic mistakes seems to be speed counter productively slowing down will grant a better run given all the slip ups.
I've binged your videos a while ago and I am now rewatching most of them, having watched your Yu-Gi-Oh FM one as well (and having recently re-played the game). I have to say I never noticed you put the FM soundtrack in so many of your videos!
While I haven't ever tried speedrunning myself, it's always interesting to watch and learn more of running my favourite games. Great video once more.
Great job Ricky, loved this progression that took place in this video it’s crazy how something once so universally hated can be turned into probably the cleanest one minute and twenty seconds of inputs that you’ll ever see in the Jak collection. Thank you for the amazing content I’m excited to see what’s next and congrats on 50k subscribers you deserve it 🤟
