@@gila2434 Glad to be an encouragement! It was helpful for me pay attention to my thoughts during the day. I wasn’t doing that initially and just let my mind wander really, and if things were tough, well it was easy to think negatively. So what I discovered was to replace a negative or anxious thought with a simple scripture that was the “mind of Christ”. For example, replace an anxious thought with “He cares for you” 1Peter 5:7. Also quite important (and what will help in the above, is to spend daily time reading His Word and letting Him speak to you through it, so when you have these moments of negativity you can immediately recognize the direction of your thoughts and replace them with God’s Word. I still have negativity crop up at times but I am now aware and redirect my thoughts more quickly. It happens to everyone but as you practice doing this the tendency happens less often. However, being human, we will have this battle to some degree but it wont dominate our thinking constantly. One more thing really helpful😉. Practice being thankful to God for everyday. Especially when you first wake up. Then throughout the day. That attitude will direct our thoughts and faith to our real Helper the Holy Spirit Who Jesus sent to be “alongside” us. John 14-16. I will pray for you in this journey we are in. Even though peace seems elusive at times, He promises He will be with you always. Matthew 28:20

God help me out of my negativity. Lord you are my strength your word brings life . I love you Lord

2 Timothy chp1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear,but of power, love and Sound MIND... repeat the word u til it becomes real to you!! God wants us to be free of any thing that does not line up with Hos word.

As a Hindu. I feel myself drawn nearer and nearer to the Lord. As someone who has been an atheist all my life, or agnostic, I never found myself drawn towards religion. And although, I still hold the belief that all religions are seeking unity with the oneness of oneself with the greater power, the more that i read of the the power of positive thinking by vincent peale, I feel drawn towards the spiritual power of the lord, i find myself reflecting that on every given step that i take, there are angels around to fight off the evil forces. Thank you for this sermon. It was wonderful.

I just preached on that very verse. If you have stinking thinking, everything smells bad. My negative thinking is robbing joy from my life and the life of those I love.

Sitting here at my kitchen table alone right now, watching this video and feeling every word of this message. In my teenage years I had several unsuccessful attempts at suicide all because I did not know of these truths in Gods word. Fast forward and I’m a 3rd year Social Work student and I cannot wait to work with teenagers and help them be able to ruminate on Gods word. What a great sermon Craig.

I’ve struggled for years with negative thinking and yesterday I downloaded a study guide with Joyce Meyer ‘Battlefields of the Mind’ then today I listened to this, I wasn’t looking for it, yet out of millions maybe trillions of utube videos it caught my eye. It could only be the Lord that lead me to it, I asked Him for a fresh revelation and boy did He give me one!! Thank you yet again Jesus you ALWAYS turn up trumps for a sinner such as me I don’t know what I did to deserve you saving me but I do know I’m eternally grateful. 😊🙏🔥

I always try to remind myself that the Bible teaches us to “Choose this day whom you will serve…” Life and Death are in the power of the tongue. Loved this mesg. I feel like the Lord guided me to this sermon today. I have been battling with my negative thoughts for a very long time and two weeks ago I almost lost that battle. I am glad to say Jesus kept me alive and is currently holding my hand through this battle. It has not been easy at all but I gather all my strength and motivation from the Lord. I cannot wait for God to show me how good life can get. I believe in Him.

How can I not be negative with two daughters that I raised like princesses now they belittle me and they treat me like I'm crazy all because the people above me made this cruciating noise and I had to go to therapy because when I called 311 they told me you can have a case against him I'm very sensitive my ears are very sensitive and I have a friend who is from Colombia and she said they made a special plug for her years so she wouldn't hear the banging on top of her I was trying to do this, but now the doctors are so different, I'm all alone people know me for over 50 years all of the sudden they turn the back on me I'm full of injuries because I was babysitting my four grandkids which the mothers became old mothers and that made me an old grandma, and because I was watching the kids I didn't see what I was going because the floor was full of toys and I kept falling all the time and now my two knees are very bad they hurt so much, but I'm always praying to my Lord Jesus Christ to help me so I can go on because I asked for help and nobody wants to help me because my daughter poisoned them it hurts so much I did so much for them, I try not to be negative but I always think about the good things I did for them how can they not remember all the wonderful things because I wanted those things but my parents could not afford it they were poor and we were poor growing up, so this is what happened the father was never a husband to me and he was never a father to them and I have proof I have been recording everything since my daughter who is a narcissist she's been like that from very young she already had that always lying always stealing things from me she needs help I went for help because I need someone positive in my life someone who knows I'm not crazy and this is what my daughter is spreading everywhere thank you God bless you!Amen 🙏 💖 ❤ 💓

I really needed this today 😮‍💨 thank you so much for this encouraging preaching from Gods Word 🙌 I was brought up in a broken home, mum committed suicide when we were little, life was really tough growing up and people lied and abused us hence my perception and mindset in relationships and friendships is challenging at times but I thank God for this reminder. He’s the only reason why I am successful today!! All glory to God for his loving kindness and faithfulness 🙌🤍 Jesus you must increase and I must decrease 🙏 Amen!!

We are not a victim of our thoughts; we have the power to change our thoughts; I have battled for years with circumstances; I had a choice…it’s a choice and now quantum physics (I’m a science geek, spiritual too) proves the destructive power of the negative thoughts.
