In Indonesia, there are various types of silat styles and each has its own characteristic movements, such as: Cimande silat, Beksi silat, Seliwa silat, Panglipur silat, Cingkrik silat and many others. There are many silat in Indonesia, some are even specifically passed down to their children and not to anyone else.

Good drills and are super important for competency in using the knife. People sadly underestimate their importance, they're critical to growing any meaningful skill set. Awesome stuff, Guru 🙏🏼

Thank you Brother. It’s cool how these arts are similar. I think the main differences are body movement and footwork. Thank you for your relevant comments as always.

@@EdgedTacticalSystems I agree. Plus the way they train, I believe in Silat you train empty hands first, then weapons, Eskrima on the other hand is weapons first, then empty hands. I could be wrong though. I only have one Silat source.

Guru Darren Felsot, I study Sunda styles Cimande and Sera. I currently study Celurit under Guru Deddy from the Penaga system. I have been Traing 27 years and have had various Cimande and Sera teachers. I have not trained any Balinese styles.
