Yeah I was the best friend of a girl in my class in 5th. Grade ( I'm not one of those stupid very child like kids I'm more like an adult than kid) Anyway 5th grade best friend , but every single day was hell for me it was a non stop argument in my head of what to do every time I'm with her I was so stressed over it but if the opportunity ever came I would gladly take the chance to have those feelings again but unfortunately best friend was all it ever got to I loved her so much but the next year we went to different middle schools

Ehh, I think even if they don’t like you back it can still seem kind of insensitive...like, that feelings of more than a camaraderie is something just to laugh at and not really worth taking seriously. If I heard one of my friends joking about that sort of thing, I’d kind of lose some respect for them TBH. It has to be more like mutual joking or fooling around with some random person, then it’s okay. If someone truly likes somebody more than a friend in a respectful manner, the other person happens to like them back and they pass it off as a joke that does seem pretty asshole-ish in my opinion. It’s only worse if someone does like someone else.

Me and my friend have had a "moment" where I had dropped all my things and he came up and hugged me to calm me down

My friend and I have been friends for at least 7 years now. He was originally just my older brother's best friend, but that changed when I entered High School and I got to see him more often. It's so weird because a couple years ago when we were still in High School, I swallowed my fear and asked him on a date after a movie night. To sum it up, he said no, but thankfully nothing changed between us. Now, flash forward and we're both in college. Whenever he's back for break he's almost always at my house; we watch movies together-- even cuddle. We've been number 1 best friends on snap for 3 months as well. I mean the last time I saw him we played football and when I got tired and collapsed on the ground, he bridal carried me off the field. Even so, it's rather complicated because I'm afraid that I might be rejected a second time so I'm waiting for him to make the first move. Not to mention he's kind of a shy guy. However, if he is, he's sure as hell taking his sweet time. Any thoughts?

I've personally only ever had one good experience when telling my friend I liked them. Usually, it gets awkward for whatever reason, we end up not talking and parting ways. But it was a year and a half ago that I told someone that I liked him, come to my surprise he was really sweet about it and said he had a girlfriend. We're still friends and he's come to be someone who is really important to me. I will always appreciate how mature he was about it and that he still treats me like an equal. our friendship is as much of a two-way street as it was before. as someone who hasn't had many great experiences with guys. it meant a lot. I feel like maybe we've had small moments here and there after that, where I thought maybe he liked me back. our conversations are great and I feel like I can honestly just be me. there was one time we had been talking the day before & I woke up to a snap from him the next morning at like 7am so excited about an interview he had that morning. it was the best feeling in the world. that was a couple of months ago now. life happened a little more since then. I love having him in my life. it's hard to gauge anything when it's 90% over text. I got lucky the first time. I don't want to test my luck again lol If he did feel something, I feel he would have said something by now anyway. at least I hope he would. But at the end of the day, everything will happen the way it's meant to, right. sorry for another long ass comment. :)

You just know when you have a moment. This friend and I go out alone often and we're always making eye contact BUT there are times when there's a look, THE look, where he makes eye contact while smiling at me. We give signs and sometimes slip up and mess everything up then we are back to square one that's why you girls are confused

I met this guy when I was 18 and we had a conversation that was too much that I had to walk away in order to catch my breath. Pretty sure that was a mindgasm. The way he stared at me... it’s hard to forget even if it’s been over two years of radio silence.

So my situation is my friends tell me all the time that my guy friends are interested in me but I never get the hint 😂 I just always assume no one likes me or we’re just too good of friends to to be in a romantic relationship. My friends see what I don’t. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?? Also, I’m not desperate and I’m fine with being single which is maybe why I’m not seeing the hints?? Idk help me out peoples :))

I have this guy friend who's pretty much always had feelings for me since the start. I wanna put the stigma to rest about having feelings for your best friend. First, don't make it such a big deal. They're your best friend, keep them that way, but you should also express that you can see the possibility of you two being together. If it doesn't work out, no big deal, just move on and still be friends. The reason why it gets so awkward for people is that if it doesn't work out, you went through that phase where you were all "lovey-dovey" and it's hard to see someone as a friend like that. The best relationships are amongst two best friends. If you two are just able to keep things non-chalant, cool, and fun just like you do as friends, you'll be able to have the best relationship possible if you put the friendship first rather than being lovers. Best friends get over fights, and you'll get through anything if you both have that mindset.

so here's my story: i've been liking this one guy for a while now but we've never really been close so we didn't really hang out a lot at first but then we kinda started having the same friend group and he also broke up with his ex and we saw each other almost every weekend and now he's a really good friend of mine and i feel like there was always mutual attraction from the start bc he told me multiple times that i looked cute or he liked my outfit or something like that and i don't know if he only thinks i'm cute or if he's actually interested in me, whenever i don't see him i kinda lose hope bc we don't text much and it seems like he's just a friend but man when we hang out it's a whole different story, we somehow manage to constantly be touching even when we're sitting on opposite sides of the room our legs are intertwined or something like that and we definitely have those eye contact moments and he compliments me a lot and even when we're in a big group we still mostly sit or walk next to each other and there was this one moment which really drove me crazy he and a friend slept at my place after a party and i mean we were both drunk but we literally fell asleep millimetres apart holding hands and cuddling and woke up spooning like what does that mean?????? i don't get this boy

I’d say if he’s sleeping with you but telling you he doesn’t have feelings for you it’s just about sex :( my ex friend did this to me gave me enough to be “hooked on him” take me out on dates the hole suhbang but would then keep telling me he doesn’t feel more then friendship, I broke it off n he did get upset but looking back it was toxic n very unfair on me to string me along xx

literally the same happened to me. a guy i was dating was subtle at first, we were hanging out as friends, then by coincidence ended up at my place, agreed to sleep together. i gave no hint, thought maybe he'll say something. before we went to sleep, he asked "what about a good night kiss?", then we were making out for some time, and next time again. I felt like that was it' that's my future husband and then BAM, a while later he says he doesn't get attached so quickly and that he's not sure he wants to be in a serious relationship with me. I was crushed.

Okay so basically I think I'm starting to develop a crush on my friend...The only problem? He's so far away. We met on a language exchange app and I just slowly started falling for his bright personality, and his voice is so energetic I get happy just hearing it. For the past few days I kind of feel like we have dipped our feet into the 'muddy water' but it's so hard to tell because we've never met in person and god knows when we'll actually meet. He keeps urging me to go to his country ASAP (since I'm learning the language, I plan on going within the next 2 years), and he calls me randomly (no one I've met before him has done this) and yesterday we finally added each other on a texting app and he kept using all these cute stickers/emoticons, and when I joked about being jelly because I don't have any besides the basic ones, he said "I only use them with people I like." and t b h I'm starting to feel so confused. I'm worried, scared, and confused. I think that because I'm starting to develop some 'feelings' for him, I'm starting to read into everything. He even texts me when he's out with friends (although that's kind of normal in his culture), stays up late to talk as much as possible because he works, and he even called/texted me whilst drunk (that dumbass istg). I don't know shit about relationships so yeah I'm screwed.

I had to admit we have the same situation. Ínter cambió stuffs. I believe he’s a Latino? Hahahahaha. To be honest, I’m also confused with this exchange of language thing and damn, I never experienced someone who constantly text or calls me like your situation. Guard your feelings first and know that person very well before committing to that person you never see personally. 🙂

he went from calling me bestfriend everyday to calling me ari...and rarely referring me as bestfriend.............but we are really close...we have had those "moments" to...we where playing a game and his hand ended up like on top of mine and he was like holding me hand...and we just looked at each other, straight in the eyes for like 10 seconds...then we got back to playing the game....we also have a handshake and I forgot it, so he showed me it again...he held my hand for like a minute....then continued showing me....one more thing is...his friend was shipping us together...and I was trying to get away...because, ya know....and i ended up just right in front of him...and he looked down at me into my eyes and i looked up at him into his eyes...and we stared into each others eyes for like 20 seconds then i ran away.......he also asks me to sit next to him all the time,...he pushed someone out of their seat because he wanted me to sit next to him, then we watched videos for 45 mins............does this mean anything or no.....

I think that most of these signs can actually be there even though your good friend doesn't want to be more than a friend except for the "moments" advice . All of these signs were there but we never had the "moments" and I thought we were just friends but he misread the situation. Another good sign is for example their reaction to your stories about your crush/dates, if they are excited about it and wish to talk about it all night then you're probably just friends. And another sign is that you just feel it when there is nothing but friendship between you two. If you slightly step away from your emotions and watch them closely, you may see things as they are, not as you want them to be.

I've liked this boy for a long time. We literally grew up together and were in every single elementary grade/class. He's a shy boy. I've noticed that he looked at me a lot when I wasn't looking but not sure if he still does. And when he talks to me, he starts smiling and getting nervous. I have the same feelings. Does he like me? I get confused sometimes.

Allllright so I’ve got this friend and we haven’t known eachother a suuuper long time. Only like a few months but we’ve gotten pretty close lately. We’ve had some “moments” I guess you would say but he’s kinda a more shy dude so I guess it’s just confusing. So here are a few signs I guess that most people would take as “he likes you”. He’s gone out of his way to do something that he clearly didn’t want to do and I wanted to do. He played it off after as he wanted to do it but we both know he didn’t and he was late for meeting with a friend because of it. He does kinda stare a lot but maybe he’s not actually looking at me? (My friends see this too) he acts pretty differently around me than other people. He’s a lot more quiet and reserved. There’s no touchy ness really just a hug hello or goodbye but I mean we only really see eachother at church. We went out for ice cream the other day and he insisted on buying me ice cream. And we texted a lot for a while and he was always trying to keep the convo going but he’d stop talking in weird places.. the thing that’s throwing me off is he stopped texting me and now he’s like super nervous around me again or something and it’s almost like he’s avoiding me.. I mean things were going good and it’s pretty obvious I like him at this point for many reasons so idk what’s going on.. Helllppp

Mikayla Becerra He's obviously just shy and scared to tell you he likes you. Try subtly flirting with him like maybe touching him more or teasing him or calling him cute mock names see how he reacts to that. Flirt with him and laugh it out afterwards in case it gets awkward or if he shy's away. Try hinting that you want something more than friends. If he doesn't push you away, it's likely he's not opposed to the idea. Ask him who he likes? If it's you he'll probably get all nervous and shish lol All that will help him be more open with you since you're making the first moves. & if he responds the same way, then more than likely he definitely likes you. By what you just wrote it's obvious he has a crush on you so I would definitely ask him out on a date or just flat out tell him you have feelings for him.

So that's definitely how things have been with this guy that I worked around/a guy I work with now. One guy introduced me as just my name to his coworkers and the other guy introduced me as just my name to his ex-wife as well as inviting me to "hang out" pretty much every week, but he would pay for everything, even after I would insist on paying for my own food. One guy I realized it after he kept telling me he wanted to hang out and attempted to pay for my food as well as my son's food, and then the other guy I realized it after I had had a rough few days and told him I needed a hug and he drove like 15 mins in the middle of the night just to give me a hug.

The guy that I work with now, he's the one who came over in the middle of the night just to hug me and we talked for hours under the stars and he even got a blanket out of his truck for me when he noticed that I was cold(even though we were sitting right outside of my house and we could have gone inside), and every single time we hug he never wants to let go of me. That night his hug was so comforting that I melted into his arms. That's not "just friends"

ALL OF THESE SIGNS HAPPEN TO ME! AND he was my first kiss, and other first things...and were literally best friends and I’m the only person he hangs out with. Even including his guy friends. I’m literally the first person he wanted to invite to go on a vacation with him and he’s taken me so many places and we always hang out with each other and he always kisses me and stuff. It’s so obvious that he likes me right? NOPE. He does all this stuff, but says he doesn’t like me in that way...but actions speak louder than words.

The situations you gave were all right and exact on our friendship. Yet at the end of the day. WE ARE JUST FRIENDS. Actually it's complicated. We were acquaintances first, then a friend, then confessed to each other and became "MU" (mutual understanding) for a while and suddenly decided to become Best Friends because we don't want to hurt each other. We want to keep each other. I'm really trying to never talk about again our past and it sucks because he sometimes does which I kinda hate. I just wish he'll be happy with everything now 😊

My friend is in a long distance relationship and is moving away so I've been spending a lot more time with her then normal. We got put for dinner,movies during the holidays she comes over for dinner with my family and she seems happy . Even before I leave we have this long hug. I don't wanna think of it as much but a part of me thinks some thing is there.

wow this video came on a really good time.. so i totally have the 'moments' but i feel like he doesn't text to me all the time, or isn't always in the mood to text. we also went for a 'pizzadate' or movienights as well, so that makes me think it is from both ways. then again, he "forgot" (i'm not really sure) i was underaged so like.. i really don't know 😣

lmao I am having this issue with one of my housemates, I have no feeling beyond friendship towards him but our other housemates keep suggesting that he likes me because of how he acts. E.g pinching my cheeks, giving me shoulder massages and just being kinda flirty. I am pretty convinced he's just got a flirty personality because he will refer to me as his mate or buddy. We did have this awkward moment last night where he was like 'i could kiss you rn', but I just brushed it off as banter. Idk what to think at this point so imma just ignore the situation if there even is one lool

Told her, she didn’t reciprocate my feelings but we are still good friends. It just made things awkward for some time after that everything went back to normal. Depends on the person and the type of bond you have tho. Still it’s better to tell your feelings to always think “what if”, you also get closure. Trust me if she is a good friend, she would respect you for your courage and honesty. There is nothing wrong with any feelings, we are all humans, stuff happens.

His sister introduced me to his parents as his BFF. They knew about me already. And now when the parents see me, his mom hugs me like I'm family. And at times, he's very attentive to my needs and such. Things such as "I was worried you wouldn't sleep, cuz you don't sleep well when you're anxious." Or "Drink some lavender oil tea to sleep."

Me and this guy had moments and texted all the time but it never led to anything and then we kind of stopped talking and “having moments” but I’d see him all the time because we have the same friends. Now we see each other almost daily and we text semi regularly and we go places together and I catch him staring all the time and he’ll make comments that leads me to think he wants me, But he’ll give side hugs and never leaves time for there to be “moments” I’m not so sure what’s going on it’s like mixed signals to me. I think of him as a very close trusted friend who doesn’t want anything right now but if he did I would totally be open to that.

Ah, yes explaining my romantic predicaments..... To start, I decided upon saying that I am omnisexual, due to the endless possibilites of who I may come to like. I have noticed patterns such as my mind being more attracted to those who recognise artistic ability and are comforting and can listen, while also being more on the positive outlook of life. I have liked both male, female, and also trans.... as it varies. I don't tend to think of going through crushes, but because I am a huge wolf fan, I tend to think of if they would be a compatible mate (and I know it sounds weird). So I tend to analyze the common factors between us and go off of the patterns that I had previously analyzed of how my mind tends to think during these examinations. So I seem to be bit stuck with romance in my life, not just because of quarantine, but also because I live in a rural area, and I don't necessarily have a diffinitive friend group, but more or so have a friend in each friend group while the majority of other friends I have aren't even in junior high yet.... So that is my love life problem how about yours.🙃
