Neon Wave I'm no Josh, but, from experience, I can safely say one thing you could do is to keep calm and not be beaten down by it, because reacting to rumors one way or another is giving them the satisfaction, thereby, allowing them to win. If you have close friends unaffected by the rumors, you stick with them; you could try to consolidate and counteract, the proper way.

I wasn't asking for advice, since the issue has been somewhat settled. I just thought it would have been a good topic for Josh to talk about. As I said before, I haven't heard the rumors for years now (which I would assume means they've stopped). I've had people come up to me and ask about the rumors, which I told them they were false. The rumors did hurt my reputation (some people trying to avoid me or didn't feel comfortable about me because of what the people have said), but there were those who didn't give a shit about the rumors and stuck with me because they saw the real me. I didn't react to the rumors like a shitty Steam game developer does to negative criticism. I sat back, worked on my life, and went about my business while the assholes wasted their time trying so hard to get rid of me. And, to add salt to their wounds, some of their friends are my friends and I get along with their exes, and their plans backfired when I gave my side of the story and people saw the real me (thus it made them look like idiotic assholes) :D

As I said in a post I made in one of your videos, she's trying to make me jealous with her boyfriend, who exists solely to make me jealous as a ploy on her behalf. So if I try to make a move, she might just say "well, I have a boyfriend". Or maybe she'll reconsider him and drop him out of the picture if I suggest I'm free? Who knows. Something to think about.

You can ask her friends if you two could work as a couple. There's a chance that you two have had a good relationship for a while, but not in an attractive kind of way. She could see you as a brother, but not as a boyfriend. If you're up to the task, you both can hang out 1 on 1 at an event or a casual setting. Then tell her about your feelings.

I think the best course of action is telling her if you have feelings for her or not. Instead of asking her on dates/hanging out, I say that you tell her how you feel, bc I'd be pissed if my long distance partner was secretly hanging out with some other dude. If you want, you can wait until their relationship fails, but I wouldn't recommend that.

Hey man, I was in the same boat as you. I knew this girl for a full year bc we talked everyday in Biology class and talked to each other a lot outside of class. Turns out she had a bf the entire time and I didn't know until it was way too late. You should ask her friends if you two could be a couple. I'm not sure if your situation will turn positive for you though, but if you want to be persistent, hang out with her at an event, or maybe with some mutual friends.

Salty well if she’s shy don’t like go up to her to quickly take your time and talk with her friends and then you can get close to her and maybe start talking to her. See how she acts around other guys is she shy around them? Or just you? Does she not make eye contact with you? What you should do is try to make eye contact for 5 second (do it any longer you look like a creep) and if she continues looking in your eyes then there’s your answer if she looks away then...I think u know that answer as well. But don’t give up. Talk to her. I may be a little late to give u this advice but hopefully it’ll help someone if not u.
