I felt so bad for killing the Mynah boss and feeling glorious in my victory over a husk. Then I met Beo in the mines… I felt guilt swell where the now humbled glory was. I wish we could’ve helped more people in this game but Elster had a job, and that’s what we stuck to.

Must be purely stylistic. Since the setting has germanic/Axis powers influences and the mynahs are gen 3, compared to the game's current gen 6 moondolls, this must be their way of showing you that these are older units.

@@falay_ idunno mate, symbolism is everywhere in this game. many things look very similar. even if its just on a subconscious level. i kinda like this observation. i wonder why this serene and peaceful face (before it melts) kinda feels uncanny. maybe because you feel watched in many ways. its a very cool scene and really stays in mind.

@@KillyBilly141 yeah the amount of symbolism is insane and the game even makes you doubt if you're overthinking it or not when trying to think about the potential meaning behind it all (pareidolia display on rotfront and newspaper about the red eye), and the entire game as a whole definitely evokes a lot of vague feelings, as you mentioned the feeling of being watched for example, and I think it might just be that that's the point, that it portrays feelings and emotions rather than a story that's supposed to make complete logical sense and I kind of love that

@@falay_ Another thing to note too is the ‘eye’ shuts and the unit can’t be wounded until the ‘eye’ opens. Perhaps one could argue the almost unyielding defiance in Elster attacking the Red Eye, as if defacing a god-like force. Then again, I have such a barebones knowledge of the lore and I am pretty much lost most of the time lmao. Go easy on me, here.

Cigarette wife got much the same treatment and blew up enough to be mashed up with the hl2 OST.

this poor creature. i tried using the flare to try to one-shot her like i've seen the tv tropes page point out, but i had to immediately quit out of the game when she fell to her knees and pawed at her burning face. i was legit crying i felt so bad.

i REALLY hope this OST makes it to Spotify and other places, these producers deserve way more credit and attention for such a fantastic soundtrack

having never played signalis but knowing her character because of the other comment, this is probably the most "mom" piece of music i've ever heard. there's like this mysterious aura beneath the track that just gets absolutely overshadowed by the warm, tender and protective feeling it gives, the same your mom gives when she's holding you when you were a toddler, you have no idea what the hell is going on in this unknown world, but this person thrice your size is not just shielding you from it, but also teaching you about it, letting you be once you're finally ready, it's great.

In this intro you can actually see hair on mynahs head. So the body could be more of a exosuit for protection. Otherwise they would have made her bald or have cybernetics on her head

In case you all are wondering, the ost is now on spotify. We don't get 15 minute cuts, but it's still nice to have in my playlist.

When I first saw the game and its gameplay, I. Was hooked, and the game was unfortunately under the radar because it's phenomenally good. The soundtrack is also great, and I. Hope this game is more known later on.❤

There`s no visiible reaction when you shoot her normally. She doesn`t flinch and it doesn`t stop her from shooting you. When you shoot when her helmet is up she flinches a bit and there`s a giant blood splatter
