Sight for the Blind | John 9 | Gary Hamrick
There are plenty of people who have physical sight but are spiritually blind. In other words, they can see things with the natural eye but they are blind to the things of God and who Jesus is. In today’s study from John 9, Jesus heals a man born blind who also later receives the miracle of spiritual sight. Jesus opens the eyes of his heart to understand who He is. We all need that miracle-but beware, there will be people who will not share your joy of knowing Jesus. Some will reject you, disown you, or dismiss you, but none of that matters. Jesus accepts you, loves you, and died to save you.

Having left Islam at around 14 years of age and finally rediscovering my faith in the true God at around 20, I feel what pastor Gary says about how we still get rejected today by even our own family

So I have a stepfather that rejects me but my mother has grown stronger and closer to me. Thanks again what a wonderful service. God bless and have a great day.
People do reject faithful Christians due to some reason or the other. It is great to know that the blind man received double miracle. Physical as well as spiritual healing. Thank you for the teaching Pastor Gary.

My family except for 2 others are unbelievers...daughter has been investigated for at least 2 years for temperatures and her hair falling out in clumps. It's Xanthoma, the easiest tumour to heal...her eldest daughter was taken to hospital with a dead fetus inside her poisoning her, the younger one rushed to hospital for an emergency appendectomy 3 days ago....went into anaphalaxic shock because of the iodine they painted on her side. My point is....though they're all scoffers, God still was merciful to them all...so keep praying for your unbelieving loved ones and our wonderful LORD will be gracious to them. Your prayers are not wasted.

Every person who is BLIND will ask God to do with them what he will so that they may see again..but this only happened ONCE. I would love to believe that God would heal any of us if we asked him to do so.

I have been rejected by my father, but loved by my mother and 2 out of 9 brothers and sisters. My work finally kicked me out, over non acceptance of the gay LIFESTYLE, supervisor was angry at me, but God has blessed me afterwards, I am blessed in salvation by Jesus.

According to scripture after Jesus (with Mary's goading) turned water into wine and he soon went away. And again according to scripture he healed everyone of their afflictions who had an affliction. That certainly includes healing the blind. Everyone who wanted healing got healing with no strings attached. And I'm sure the Jews heard about that but where was the uproar then? How come no healings or miracles today when Paul says there should be?

Where are you looking for miracles? Have you studied Fatima cathedral and it's spring Or Lourdes? Or Medjugorje? All depends where you look to ring miracles.
this man is blind? how then can he lead the blind anywhere but into darkness?

His eyes were sealed shut with mud. He did not see Jesus, he didn't know what he looked like. He couldn't have identified him. Jesus Himself had to come to him later to tell him, to show him what He looked like. While the community and rulers could all see and identify Jesus among the crowd, they remained blind in their unbelief of Jesus sent by God. To identify Jesus physically wasn't the point, which is maybe why Jesus sealed the man's eyes shut and sent him a quarter mile down the road. He "saw" Jesus was of divine origin and declared it outright to the people before he met and "saw" Jesus physically later. That even a man whose eyes had been sealed shut could see He was sent by God, was an added indictment by Jesus of His deniers.
Gary be more discerning about false teachers like mr Cahn. Leave him out
