  Every time this topic comes up, I think of the 1 Cor. verse "I am of Paul" and "I am of Apollos." I was THRILLED to hear you use that passage in application to this topic. The Armenians say, "The other choice is Calvinism" and the Calvinists say, "The other choice is Arminianism" and I want to scream "NO!" Since when does anyone have a choice of 2 mere men to align their beliefs with? I'm not buying it. I am of JESUS!

  Clearly, God said what he chooses to do. He isnt checking in with us. Even is Psalms...think 115:3. In any event, he is soverign...he has mercy on whom he chooses and not on whom he chooses.

  Jesus is coming back in Jerusalem and the chosen people will be the first to see Him and the first to hear the Trumpets. I just know it’s going to be something getting through that Iron Dome.

  I recognize this is a very difficult topic. This is also not (seemingly) a salvation issue. I pray that God will reveal His truth to us all, especially myself, and eradicate any false beliefs about God. Scripture seems to affirm that we are DEAD in our sins. Can the spiritually dead raise themselves ? No. Can spiritually dead people please God? Scripture says no. Does mankind choose to be BORN? No. Can anyone come to God unless the Father draws him first? No. However, as Gary alludes to … Scripture sure does appear to suggest we have some aspect of choice/“free will” in whether to receive the gifts of faith and repentance. As such, this seems to be an area of “mystery”. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  I'm so glad you have approached this subject Pastor Gary all my life and I am 83yrs now I never understood what the Word meant in this scripture. I just always hoped and prayed that I was loved by God. Thanks for explaining it so we'll. 🙏🙏

  Pastor Gary, I appreciate you’re awesome perspective of the Bible. It’s taken me a long time to turn back to learning about God but listening to you (and your jokes) made me smile, lightened my heart and now I have a much better understanding of who God is even though I know I’m only scratching the surface. The book of Samual is the first Bible study of yours that I’ve listened to and I plan on listening to all the rest of them. Thank you so much for filming your Bible study and thank you for being your genuine self preaching God’s word. You really have a gift!
