Try this run again with the full length top rail. Loading the bipod will push the scope around due to the weakness of the factory short scope rail. Same issue happened on the Q Fix

Weakness of the factory rail? Is this a real thing or are you making it up? ;-) Are you suggesting that the Sig Cross STX is more accurate because of it's full length top rail?

mine loves the 175 GMM and the 185 GMM

I used 168gr Nosler match grade HPBT and sadly could not hit 1000meters. We determined the rounds were losing stability crossing the trans sonic barrier. Calculations said it would cross that line at around 730meters, which explains why to 700m it was a tack driver, but past that the groupings opened up significantly. Also started to open up after about 7 rounds too due to heat. Definitely a hunting rifle! And at the same time using federal XM80C 7.62 surplus I was able to hit 1000m consistently once dialed in (and this round was grouping 1/3" at 100m) Definitely a great gun, I have mine paired with a Nightforce SHV 4-14x optic.

A few questions for you. Did you have the rev stop in the scope? Did you have a20 MOA rings? Were you able to adjust your turrets to 1000 yards or did you have to hold over as well? I have the sig cross in .308 and have been looking at the razor HD LHT 4.5-22x50 the same scope you used here. Thanks

308 is not a distance round. It's a power round. Hitting past 500 is already a feat on its own. If you want accuracy, go NATO for lighter weight allowing greater velocity

We shoot our m110s to 1000 frequently. This guy must have had an off day, or the sig isn't very good.

Anybody know what the max effective range is on this weapon? Ive googled but to no avail!

Really depends on your purpose for " effective " range. Hunting ? I'd keep it within 500 yrds depending on cal. and game for humane reasons. Plinking with. 308 1,400 yrds. 6.5 1,740 yrds those are basic estimates because all the variables will factor. Cartridge, wind, velocity, ect. Hope this helps.
