So good to see a Sig guy in YT. The Glockies are everywhere and honestly makes me sick. A gun that is vintage 1980 still being their current platform in 2024...

I've been saying it since I ran one of these... I prefer it to the Staccato. They certainly are in the same class of tool, high-end, production guns, but this one feels more special. Solid build quality, accurate, damn near perfect ergos, and dead nuts reliable. I agree with everything said in the review.

This is only 1 of a few guns I want to add to my collection. That being said, I do love the look of the classic version. I really want to see your shooting comparison of the this vs the Legion.

Great video I would love to see you review the p226 zev model.

You'd have to run it in limited optics anyway as it's SAO. But you can have the magwell in limited optics as well.

RE: USPSA with this gun. It is NOT carry optics legal because it is single action only (and has a magwell). It should be legal for limited optics. It is legal for open.

Love mine, surprised you didn't mention the poor placement of the slide release. Besides that , it's fantastic

I mentioned it on my 226 X5 legion review. And in my 226 SAO. It’s a very dumb placement for sure. But I also came up on 2011’s. So mag in and using the thumb for the slide release is normal for me.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again…I’ll take a P226 over a P320 any day.

The magwell slides off once you've taken the grips off.

Having to buy the rear irons separately, or see the unsightly hole behind the dot if not, is ridiculous.

Lets see that comparison 226 Legion SAO, X5 Stas, X5 Legion and Staccato XC

Man if people would watch a 45 min review I would do it. I do have one coming up. Between. The X5 legion and the 226 stass maybe the stacatto can sneak in, for a cameo and a quick beat down!

I have a dumb question, will this gun be able to take my sig p226 magazines. I have 2 p226 with dozens of mags, would like this gun, but will they work in it. Thanks. Good video

The magazine well will be an issue with a lot of factory mags with flush base plates.

The sig x5 mags have specific base pads. And as mentioned the mag well would be an issue.

@@rdrgear thank you, real bummer, I have a duty sig p226 with a dozen mag’s, but live in NJ, grandfathered in but can’t buy over 10 round firearms, would like this as a race gun for competitive shooting. Maybe I will ask around if the magwell can be grinder and buffed down to fit p226.

Safariland only. We don’t do much kydex for the 226

The wood grips -classic the G10 grips stass/sport. They are the same gun.

@@rdrgear would you say as far as ergonomics go, is the P320 ACH Legion the same set up and grip as the P365 Legion AXG? They look almost exactly the same one’s bigger and one smaller. I know the grip of the P226X5 Legion is different.

Source for the rear sight? Can only find suppressor height online.

No optics and holsters are limited. I do like the DWX. I will own one eventually.

I like the lower bore axis and the 1911 trigger on the DWX more. BUT, parts for the DWX are not gonna be available for a loooooong time and their customer support seems to be terrible. The P226 is a proven to be reliable and durable too.

Sounds like Honest Outlaw needs to enroll in his own sponsor SDI 😂
