I do on my Quest 2. The "unknown sources" tab is gone. Even for developers. I went into the community forums on Meta and found other "developers' who are saying the same thing with no response from Meta. I reached out to Meta and they said they have permanently removed that option, even for developers. How do we get around this?

Thank you for this video. The simple install doesn't require the headset to be tethered to a computer. However, the advanced install does require tethering. Can I have both installed at the same time and pick which one I want to use that day?

normally you just install one of them on the headset. I hope that answers your question

When i downlad games like creed it says to oculus 2 and when i press on oculus 2 sentence they send me to the oculus store alot of apps like this (im oculus 3)

That stock footage of plugging the usb-c cable INTO THE GRAPHICS CARD cracked me up

When i open a game on sidequest it redirects me to the actual store to buy the game. The option to install the apk doesn’t appear. Whats wrong?

Some games are now fully released and that is why they redirect you to the store while others can just be downloaded normally. Regarding apk i recommend checking the guide from sidequest themselve on how to install those and i hope you still found the video helpfull. Stay awesome

Yall I gotta be missing something I just use the meta browser to get the game and they go directly to my quest. Is what I’m doing not the same as sideloading? Or is it only side loading once you install the side quest app?

My bad I read that wrong. I find them in the sidequest store in browser. They download directly to my quest. All the games are stored with my other meta store games.

Hey! I got 1 question: After Doing All of them steps and installing it successfully, Can I Download Apps that need to be paid for can I install them for free? Like The Cleansheet Goalkeeper Vr Game can I use the sideload to get the priced game for free?

some games will be free but mostly games that launched officially on quest store wont be free any longer unless you got them before their release

In sidequest most of the games I would like to download directs me to oculus store asks me money for it. So Why do they show those games if they are not available as free ?????

Some games have since they were put on sidequest got a full launch on the official store while others havent. If you got them before that then you can keep them. But there are a lot of others that are free. I hope that answers your question ?

can you change settings like refresh rate?

Hell no it's just a, app store with tons of different vr games

for some reason i cant turn on dev mode. I did what was told but it won't turn on. not sure if this info will help but it didn't ask me for verification when i made the organization.

I made a separate video on it. But probably turning your headset complete off once should solve it and make sure its updated

Whenever I press side load button it downloads and than says success but when I open my quest the game I sideloaded isn’t there

You need to scroll the view apps menu and choose uknown source or something like that.

if you have played all the games on the normal store that you wanted then I personally think there are some good options for free games to try out atleast ofcourse most of them won't be that crazy

no it is not it is the official and allowed version of it

You don't have to connect your quest to your pc to set up developer mode.
