When Sia has a voice crack in her songs, it sounds amazing. When I have a voice crack in me trying to sing her songs, it sounds like I swallowed a squeaky toy.

Her dad rejected her from singing on his album, so that part probably means everything she accomplished is all in spite of him. Also rejected her almost as a daughter and told her she would never make it in life

davelanger She isn’t, but the fact that she’s screaming her notes, instead of belting it could be damaging. I’ve heard her belt it out effortlessly, but I trust her as a vocalist bc of her awareness and versatility in her music and her voice.

The voice cracks are her signature in the song. She's doing them on purpose and she's in total control of them. Dave Matthews does something similar and they are both legends.
