I think this is the most impressive feat she pulls. It's very easy to notice that some errors are beautiful errors, but the most difficult about them is that there are no techniques for errors, so they are very hard to control; it's very hard to do what she does here: to fit an error right where it belongs. Pure art. Unteachable. You can only teach people how to avoid mistakes, whereas people can only make art if make the right mistakes.

It's called a push. You're pushing air past your vocal cords without letting them make sound and you bring the sound back while doing it. Takes a lot of practice for most of us.

@@dnice033 Yes. It is called an Intentional Voice Break. It can also be referred to as a crack, cry or squeak. A good amount of singers have used voice breaks before such as Demi Lovato, Rihanna (commonly uses it), etc, but Sia is the first that comes to mind.

There's nobody in the world, who can even come close to her voice.

They were told not to make noise. Because, if they make any sudden noise, it would mess up the sound. They only needed to hear her voice and music, not feet moving on the floor or clapping. Plus its in Piano Version, not the original. So it need to have a quiet background with the voice and the music.

Vocally I agree with you but I think the ones where maddie performes with her are the most powerful ones because you get a visual sense of what the song is about and what kind of state of mind she was in while writing it. I'm assuming you know the ones I'm talking about? Xx

Yeah she sings amazingly, even with wrong technique (it does create a nice unique sound though). I just hope her wrong technique isn't going to damage her voice over time.

It is really stupid, people Say her voice is Nice despite of the voice cracks just because a Lot of people Say so. If the same amount of people Say her voice is shit, then people's opinion change. I can't Say Sia is a Bad singer, her voice is beautiful. But she doesnt have the healthiest technique

She has truth and pain in her voice. That makes it flawless to the listener. Not just reciting someone's lyrics she is giving you a glimpse into her world and the cracks and grit In her vocals just highlights the turns and lifts of the pure artistry of SIA.
