I lost my mum to cancer complications a couple years ago, but before she went I sent her this song to say, 'I love you'. I hope she knew.

A brilliant example of "less is more" - uncluttered and clean with superb musicians. Bravo!

Laird Sky-Thanks for giving us the translation. When I read the word "maman" I thought it was just an expression since I had not read the full lyrics another partner gave us, although my French vocabulary is not so extense...yet. It was when I read your mail that I realized it was dedicated to the mother. Lovely song with much of New Orleans concerning its creators, which really pleased me. There is even a part that briefly reminds me of "Tenderly". Everything is great: the singer, the musicians, the song and this channel-just met, to which I also subscribed-and many of the E-mailers, too. A big THANK YOU AND BEST WISHES to you all!!!

Woody chose the original recording by Sidney Bechet for his soundtrack - you are about 65 years off - but yes Patrick Bartley plays beautifully here

She has great phrasing and breath control. The clarinet player is wonderful and the other musicians deserve to be complimented as well. C❤❤❤

When this music first hit me in Midnight in Paris, I just stunned or was like hit by a car with the beauty of this jazz song and again, I exactly have had the same experience as before when this singer lady zoomed up and began the song with her wonderful voice.

I can just see Bogie and Bergman in a French club listenibg to Tatiana and her Jazz Band. What a pleasure to listen to them perform.You do not have to understand French to appreciate the music.

she has the softest most pleasant voice in the world. i could listen to her sing for ages and ages and never get tired of it. so wonderful and pure

Zizou Laval-That is what made me give the "like", even before the girl started her beautiful interpretation. And that initial dialogue with the violin!

I love how during the instrumental break she just appreciates the music as well! This is so sweetly made.

Ma mère qui vient de décéder voulait du Sidney Bechett pour la cérémonie funéraire au funérarium. I love this Avlon jazz band. Tatiana sings smooth beautiful.

I have listened to many performances of this group. For me, this one stands out among the rest as capturing a magical musical moment where the musicians are together in the zone. There is the background atmosphere of the room. The opening instrumental dialogue between the violin and clarinet, which continues with great skill throughout the song without distracting from the singer. The singer, who sings closer to the camera and is more restrained than at other times, yet has a great physical presence and poise conveyed through facial composure and direct eye contact into the camera. Much of the magic and meaning is in the eye, which is close enough to see the reflection. I enjoy some of the deeper richer lower tones of the singer, which is not always evident in the singer's more cheerful songs. During the instrumental interlude, she turns toward the clarinetist to listen with attention. The sound quality and camera work are excellent. I cried the first time I heard this, and my eyes are wet now.

This is portraying a short time in human kind that was kind and healthy virtues were in people's hearts.

This singer charms me, I fallen in love with her looks, voice, and overall being. Now that clarinet player, he's a master of his instriment. To love traditional jazz is our greatest love other than God and our families, plus others we love and care about. I'm 64 and remember being in love and young.

I would love to see Tatiana duetting with Nataly of Pomplamoose who, although, American, sings Brel, Brassens, Piaf et al as though born to it, also with a wonderful voice and a group of fantastic musicians behind her. as a teen, in the early 1970's i had bought a clarinet, grenadilla wood. I was obsessed. I permanently borrowed a Reginald Kell record from the Toronto Music library. Kell's tone and fingering were exquisite. Patrick, you are better. I LOVE YOU and what you do. Such musicianship from the whole team throughout this; it made my universe better.

Can't dwell on destruction listening to Tatiana. Wish of wishes that minds in pain will hear more of her💕
