Esa chiquitas son muy talentosas!!! Cantan y tocan caños. Ese grupo de Chamorro es excelente.

Barcelone, l'eldorado du jazz, de la musique, du talent, du charme et du swing. Waow que ça fait du bien d'entendre cela de nos jours. Bravo monsieur Chamorro de nos faire découvrir de telles pépites, véritables artistes que sont Rita Payes et Andréa Motis !

El señor Chamorro debería tener un reconocimiento público de este país (que se yo, una medalla al trabajo, el príncipe de Asturias de las artes, una estatua en cada plaza mayor de cada ciudad...) por el trabajo ímprobo que lleva realizando durante tantos años en favor de la música, con jóvenes y adolescentes a los que convierte en lo que podemos ver en este vídeo. Que calidez en la voz de Rita Payés y en su trombón y que energía y belleza en la trompeta de Andrea Motis, la potencia y sonoridad con la que emite el sonido pareciera corresponder a la de un trompetista ya maduro y sin embargo es ella... Fatástica.

Fantastic drumming, relentless driving beat holds this amazing ensemble tight. Rita's dark sultry voice is perfect, as Andrea Motis seems to float with the music like she's taking dictation from the gods of Samba. Irresistible sound! Chamorro is a genius for putting together this ensemble.

Fui percussionista dos tempos da noite de um Rio que não existe mais. Tive um grande amigo, ex crooner de um conjunto de danças, que tinha o incrível talento de imitar o som de um trombone de vara, inclusive o gestual. Até o mestre Paulo Moura quando o ouviu ficou encantado e comentou na ocasião que bastava fechar os olhos e pensar que estava ouvindo o som de um instrumento verdadeiro. Hoje, vivo fosse, estou certo que se meu amigo ouvisse essas meninas ficaria extasiado.

Chamorro throws so many charming jazz twists into these great covers that take FULL advantage of these superbly talented players and sngers abilities. I love it!

Hi Stephen Wooden, I too, now age 85, fell in love with jazz from about 1948 onward. I have heard a lot of jazz from great musicians in the USA, Australia and Europe (I am from Frankfurt/Main, Germany), living in Australia since 1959, yet I am astounded that so much young jazz talent resides in Barcelona, Spain. I believe we may say "Thanks" to Joan Chamorrow and his Municipal Music School for bringing all that talent to the our eyes and ears.

Love that acoustic guitar break by Josep Traver! Most excellent! By far my favorite jazz band!
