I own these since almost a year and they are among my best iem and in the lower price group also. I think sound is also a Mather of taste. High frequency are superb and bass is a little overwhelmed. But with the good fit and tips it cancelled the negative bass. And higher and mid are just perfect to my taste.... details like cymbals and others are some of the most realistic. I just like them in many ways. Specially on fit side. Soundstage is good but not the best..love them better than.t4 and blon 03 if we still on a budget side

Agreed, if anything I would say that its problem is that the upper trebble(10k and above) is significantly lacking making the form 1.1 only good for songs that play mainly within the 8k boundery that makes higher pitch female vocals lacking. Other then that it doesnt have that nasty pinna gain and nice and thight bass which are pluses for me. Really recomended as well. By the way which tips are you using? I found the double flenge tips solved the 8k issue sammy was talking about.

excellent review, good job as always ... I thought exactly the same of my 1.1 BUT one day by mistake when removing the cable, I put it wrong (R in L) and to my surprise there was a change for good, everything improved ... I changed the cable for a penon and there I realized that the cable is wrong ... shozy just said "well, if that sounds better, enjoy it ... it was a factory error on our part" ... hahaha. .. sorry for my google translation and greetings from Mexico ...

Great review as always. Just like you, I like a neutral sound signature; hence, such a V-shaped signature won’t be an option for me. Another problem with companies like Shozy is the quality control. If I may suggest, I would love to hear your opinion on Audiofly AF-180 and AF-1120 and on Dunu DK-3001 Pro IEMs. Again, thanks for the good review and keep the hard work. And stay safe..

Thanks for the kind words. Doubt we'll be looking at the Audioflys... As for Dunu, we were in talks with them sending a few IEMs, but then the pandemic happened, so will probably only get a chance to check them out once the dust has settled. Stay safe.

How does it compare to the moondrop starfield? Especially regarding their sound stage and imaging performance. Please help me as i'm torn between the 2.

After so many product reviews, how do you still rate the Mee Audio Pinnacle P1? Since that's still my current go-to pair and I want to graduate from it, wanting to replace the P1 with a similar pair but with a bit more energy in the low end.

Don't have the P1 anymore, but I did listen to it again before selling it. Compared to IEMs like the ER2, the P1 has a particular metallic sort of sound to it. As you noted, it needs a bit more energy in the bass, but on the flip side the treble also seemed to have too much energy. Honestly, so far the ER2SE is the absolute best IEMs I've come across for sheer audio quality in terms of accuracy and neutrality (relative to price). The XR can sometimes be a bit more fun to listen to, but it also has a slightly "darker" sound in comparison to the SE. If you've got a player with a decent PEQ then the XR can sound pretty darn neutral whilst still keeping a bit more sub-bass oomph if you drop the bass a little with a wide Q at around 200 and 112 and again a little more at around 63Hz
