Thanks for this demonstration. You did an awesome job illustrating the txv and the piston. Just seeing the difference in cold and warm effecting flow was great. I was a little suprised at the delay in change when you applied the ice pack. You can see why it is important to let a system stabilize properly when charging a system.

As times are progressing you will see mechanical valves slowly disappearing and EEVs becoming the standard with efficiency, so eventually there will be inverter variable speed technology only available. Even refrigeration will start using this technology as the industry looks for better ways maintaining epa guidelines. Plus the new A2L refrigerants you are going to see more safeties on these systems like solenoids on systems, ventilation and refrigerant detection devices by 2025

How important is it that the bulb is mounted horizontally? I dont have a large enough section of horizontal to mount to, so its about 10°, seems to work really well tho. Also thoughts on using thermal paste between bulb and suction line?
is a txv installled inside of a condenser housing or is this an optional component that may be added to a system?
