@@dragonmans7242 5:17 Man, that reminds me of losing my favorite aunt, Lee Memone. Sadly, she passed away on Mother's Day! I really do miss her, because she's responsible for making me smile and laugh on my birthday in Oatman or Kingman, Arizona. In a old-school wild west, cowboy-themed town.

Much respect from S.Korean guy. We remember what U.S. did to us and will never forget brave American soldiers and people. I wish my country and U.S. could make some Korean war tv shows like The band of brothers in the near future. 🇺🇸🇰🇷

I recently just learned about your wife's passing and I'm so sorry for your loss. From what I've read, she was a great woman! Unfortunately, I too lost my best friend/wife - 2008 car accident. Anyhow, my father also fought in the Korean War (Air Force). I love your dedication to preserving/teaching about our military history! Thank you and your family for being such a patriots, Mel!!
My grandfather fought in the Korean War he was in the 101st airborne he carried an m1 garand and drove an ammo truck at night and wasn’t allowed to use headlights he unfortunately passed away in 2016

The memorial to your wife and her father is beautiful, a personal piece of history amongst all of the military hardware. All the best Dragon Man, from Italy.
My dad was a pole-climber in Korea, so I really appreciate this. He graduated HS in 51 or 52 and was drafted into the Army. The cease-fire was put in the day before his ship landed and he had to help deal with cleaning up battlefields. He always said "I would've rather had to fight than to see the crap I had to look at every day."
My great grandpa fought in the Korean War I still miss him

My grandpa fought in the Korean War and he drove a tank and is still living. Also when someone came to his school to recruit he and his friend ran away because he knew that if he sighed up he would have been kill in the front lines so he sighed up the second time though. And the tank he drove was a WW2 tank.
Top guy with a top museum. Massive respect from the UK 🇬🇧 🙌🏻
Only with todays youth would the Korean war be forgotten. This days youth are worse than the ones during the Vietnam war. The Vietnam war is the war that is close to my heart. The veterans got a really raw deal. They came home from a war that most did not want. These vets were spit upon and called baby killers by ingrates. The VA hospital does not take care for these vets like they should. My mother was a welder in WW2, in the shipyard in TItusville Fl. So all vets are awesome, Just Vietnam vets are just more special to me. Since I grow up in that error. They are just awesome. I had two brothers serving in the Vietnam war. I am 56 years of age .I was the baby. Shalom Alecheim
It's feels good to know that people still remember The Korean War. I never got to learn anything about my nationality in high school.
i hope there is an heir to your awesome kingdom good times, when military was lead by men of action and not by bureaucrats.
Indeed the "Forgotten War" I had my '45 GPW at a car show, with markings, gear, & me in uniform. An old boy who was in Korea was quite moved... then started to tell me about the war. I told him I'd been airborne infantry & he really kicked into gear!!! He was 187th Airborne RCT & had done BOTH combat jumps. What a lesson for me, we talked for over two hours, including how they dropped jeeps, supplies. You place looks great, a best buddy from my paratrooper days lives in Colorado Springs, we'll have to visit!!! Maybe I'll have my 1/187th GPW

My Grandpa was in the Korean War. A Grenade went off next to him, blew his ear drums out, left his back full of Shrapnel and he couldn’t walk. He was carried by another soldier and my Grandpa said had it not been for that Man carrying him out he would have died. Makes me thankful, to whoever carried off my Grandfather.

My condolences for your wife. My grandfather was a marine buck sergeant that fought in Korea.
I like how hes supporting tourism not just to visit him but the area hes in
they made new m1 helmets and liners as well. any m1 with an M or MWA prefix was pruduced between 1951 and around 1956. wow! the helmet you picked up has a rare st clair liner from ww2! they introduced swivel bales in late 1943. sorry for your loss. i hope i can make it to your awesome museum one day.
Thank you Dragon man this video really touched a part of my heart I had an uncle that served in the Korean War he made it home but was never the same I always wanted to ask him questions about his experience in the military sadly he passed away in 2005. I don't even know his rank but his name was Felix Rodriguez Gonzalez born in Bad Axe Michigan. Rest in heaven Uncle Felix
Great to see some Korean war recognition. My father served on our small carriers the HMAS melbourne and HMAS Sydney. He was BCOF stationed in Japan. Met some of his army mates who were badly injured in the battle of Kapyong defending thier Bren gun pits against wave upon wave of fresh Chinese troops. Naturally this war always had a big impact on me and it's not often you see any sort of recognition of it, especially here in Australia
“Our nation honors her sons and daughters who answered the call to defend a country they never knew and a people they never met.” Our all Koreans remember this verse and will always be deeply grateful for your sacrifice!
I'm in New Mexico and I need to make the pilgrimage to Dragon mans museum.

Another way you can tell between a WWII M1 Helmet pot and a later one is if the seam on the rim is on the front or back. If it is on the front it is early to mid WWII (1942-1944), if it is on the rear, then it is late WWII (1945) and on wards. The fixed bail (in which you are talking about) was made only in the earlier parts of WWII. They soon changed to swivel bales because the fixed bales broke off often. This change happened around 1943. I do agree that soldiers in Korea did get the old WWII items, such as helmets! Great museum and maybe if I am in that area I will come and visit!
My grandpa was in Korea. He was in the 20th infantry division E Company from 1960-64. He did work on the Davy Crockett I forget what he did but I think he was like a base guard cause I remember his dog was Ralph and he was a German shepherd
Dude that’s so sweet that you have a memorial of your wife and her dad in your museum. I know they both would be proud to see how much it grew.
First time I saw the old MASH movie, I was puzzeld wich war it depicted. I was in 7th grade back then. It seemed a lot like WW2 but the Helicopters made no sense in that context. I asked my dad and he told me about korea. He was shocked that I had not learned that back in school.
I love these tours an the history that comes with it !!!
Just love watching your videos. So much to learn. Thanks 😊😊😊
“Heres a MiG super rare and irreplaceable still works and has missiles”

My great uncle Pete was an engineer in Korea. Don’t know where he was stationed, or what division he was in, just know he saw action. Still have his Garand Bayonet.
Beautiful!
Sorry for your loss man love your channel
You're the coolest dude i've ever heard of.
My grandfather was in the Korean War
God bless you Mel..
My Dad purchased a home on Elmwood Ave, Roosevelt, Long Island because they wouldn’t let him purchase one in Levittown. He was a US Air Force, Korean War Veteran. Please, lighten up on the politics Brother, some of us used our GI Bill to get degrees. 😂 You Sir are a man of honor, that’s why they clap FOR YOU. And like my Dad, Uncles on both sides, big Brother, and two cousins I once shared a home with, my only two nephews, and one of my sons, you and I NEVER SERVED and swore the oath under a Commander in Chief who refused to put his own life on the line to defend against all enemies foreign and domestic. I joined the Submarine force under Reagan and retired a Surface Warrior under Obama. Well, maybe I’m not so smart, I had my hands on a restored Hi Power the month my Dad passed. I balked at the price…now I’m looking for one to go with my Fat Boy and a custom “Fury” Holster. Dragonman, did they still issue Hi Powers in the Korean War? And did they issue a .357 Magnum? Was the Colt 1911 issued in the Korean War?
Could you do a Greek/Hellenic army display for the Korean war? We were stationed at the Harry valley with the American soldiers, we joined in the 5th day of the war and left in 1955.
My sincere condolences about your wife. I actually have the same exact outfit on the right of you and your wife’s pictures at 5:22. My grandfather fought in Korea.
we'll come to see you next trip to Colorado!

Oh man my grand father would love to see this he got drafted at the start of the Korean War. He would be amazed at this!
The Korean war is a conflict that deserves to get more recognition. Thanks for sharing!
This is probably unrelated but my great-grandfather served as a soldier in the Pacific War(he was Honduran)he fought along side the US Arm he retired with a lot of wealth for my grandfather unfortunately my grandfather died from witchcraft(My grand uncle's we're evil)and the fortune was lost leaving my family very poor but my mother and father came to the US.and I was born in 2006 and I'm sorta proud about my family (Mostly the War part and definitely not the whole gruncle massacre)
Sir, If you were every Americans history teacher in highschool or their college professor, the world would be an amazing place!
This is what we need, we need more people to acknowledge and show all of the wars that the US just doesn’t even really acknowledge now. Your doing an amazing thing Dragonman, thank you!
Love ya Dragonman
Sorry for your loss RIP.
I got taught a bit about the Korean war. More specifically a bit about the battle of the Imjin river.
i love watching your videos
I am Korean. My family fled during the Korean War and settled in Busan and has been living well so far. After a long time, the Republic of Korea has developed a lot and suffered a lot in the war. I'm helping countries that are missing. All of these are the sacrifices of many countries that helped during the Korean War and thanks to people. It's been a long time now, but many people still appreciate and remember your hard work during the Korean War. Thank you very much for protecting the Republic of Korea with young blood during the Korean War. I will never forget your sacrifice in the Korean War until I die. Thank you. WOW good
I'm from China and i really feel sorry about what Chinese troops did in Korean War.
hey please don't forget the general Walton Walker, the only veteran that I know of that fought in WW1, WW2, and Korean War, and died in action holding the defense line against the North to buy enough time and resource for General MacArthur to pull off the Incheon invasion. If it wasn't for political reasons of DC, the Korean War should have been won, and General Walker's sacrifice immortalized.
I lost an uncle in Korea in 1952 , thank you for the video !
