Military History Lesson Part 7 of 8 (Germany and the Holocaust in WWII)

This is my German Nazi collection. This is the room that people are interested in the most. I now have one of the best Nazi collections in the country. We also have a Holocaust display. The reason is, is that it is part of history and hopefully it will never repeat itself again. Make sure to watch the full video to see the rarest item in our entire museum.

I’ve seen a private collection similar to this but with US civil war items. Dozens of US and confederate generals uniforms, swords, Gatling gun, Lincoln’s field chair, every model of rifle, carbine, and handgun. He was downsizing his nazi collection containing Herman Goehring’s medals and wedding sword and half a dozen K98 sniper rifles among hundreds of other items. All this in the basement of an unassuming residential house. DragonMan has the best militaria collection available for public viewing but there are amazing collections like this around the world only the owners know about.

There is a great collection and actual museum in Oklahoma city almost no one knows about. It's the 45th infantry museum. They were the ones who found Hitlers apartment in Munich. Many items from that apartment and cape Hitler wore. The 45th were also involved with discovering Dachau so there are relics from there as well. They represent every war with amazing displays that are accurate. Interesting factors that the 45th infantry from Oklahoma (now known as the 145th) the original symbol was a swastika. They changed it after the war..

The uniform under the iron cross part of the flag at 3:56 isn't even WWII it's an east german uniform. The uniform he called an artillery sergeant at 1:50 is an INFANTRY sergeant, and there's no general uniform there when he said. I was living in Holland, 1km from the German boarder and much stuff, was stil laying arround in the woods even planes. This made a very deep inpression on me, because one can feel the terror when holding an object, it works like a time capsule and triggers the imaginagion. Like standing in plane fuel soaked earth, where you can smell that it is syntheticly made and an old farmer telling you: "Es war einen Langnase, Dora, Focke Wulf D9, Gelbe 18, er sturtzte senkrecht nach unten und schlug ein." . Again, thanks for sharing!!! People like you with a passion are wonderfull.

Went to Dragonman's last week for a Wednesday tour. Worth every penny. So much to see. We toured the entire museum in about 2 hrs 20 minutes. I needed 2 hours just in the Nazi room! If you're in the Colorado Springs, CO area, do yourself a favor and take the tour. I only wish Dragonman would have given the tour himself but he was away that morning to purchase a hotrod (beautiful green and white paint!). He had two employees do the tour and they did a fantastic job but we all would want the man himself to lead the way. Dragonman did come back from Denver with that beautiful hotrod at the end of the tour to add to his 27 car garage he's building. Was kind enough to take a couple of pictures with us. If Dragonman reads this comment, we were the three men that caught you as you were getting the ramps out to unload your car. Genuine guy and a real pleasure to visit his museum. THANKS DRAGONMAN!

That means he is not held to any standard as far as items being legitimate or not. There are lots of those items that are complete fantasy..

Hey Dragon, thank you for making this video for everyone to watch. If possible, can you do a really long video of the Nazi room, or maybe each room? You said you had to hurry and skip some things here. If you're OK with that idea, I think that would be really great for people who can't come visit your museum. My dad has pulmonary fibrosis and a hip issue and will never make it to your museum, and he really enjoys watching your videos. He says he wishes he could listen to you cover every item in that Nazi area. There is such a fascination with the Nazis. Even for someone who's not into military stuff, people still find it interesting.
