Wow I am amazed how many libraries you have in your area! That is wonderful for you and your kiddos! It’s great that they have playgrounds where the mammas can read while the kids play😂

Yes! Kansas City is so large geographically that we are blessed with toooons of libraries! I’m excited for the day we can do school at the different libraries! Right now they’re a little too squirrly and distracted haha

How amazing that y’all have so many libraries in your area! We only have a couple but we love them and are also there at least once a week. When my children were toddlers/preschool age, we enjoyed story time. Now my older two girls in early elementary enjoy biweekly STEM classes. This summer they’re offering a few PE classes that we’re planning to take advantage of. Glad to hear my being stingy in not letting my kids have their own library cards was probably a good idea! 😂

Haha I fully regret getting an individual library card for her! But yes! I love that the library has so many great resources and opportunities!!

I love going to my library. We have two libraries in my town one that is in walking distance of me and the other is about five minutes by car. I take out more books then I can read I have 16 right now. We have a big bookcase as you walk in where you can exchange books with other people, we also have a shelf where the librarians put the books that they liked and we have a shelf for new books as well.

I bought a bunch of books at the JOCO Friends of the Library warehouse sale when I was in town on Saturday. 🥰 I also took my 6 year old niece to The Rabbit Hole in North KC. OMG it's amazing - your kids would love it!

I know!! It’s on our list, but I want to wait until I don’t have to take the youngest 🤣I’ve never been to the warehouse sale! Is it worth it?

@@AlwaysBooked it's a pretty small space and they have it every Saturday, so it's not a big event. They stopped having a permanent store at the branches like they used to have and now do all their sales only at their warehouse location. I'm not sure it's worth a special trip unless you happen to be nearby. But it's usually close to our regular haunts so I try to pop in when I'm up there.

I use Libby and Hoopla all the time. Occasionally I check out hard copy books (more than I will read!).

Haha the library is so great for all the things!

I love my libraries, I’ve got a local one, and a couple libraries that are 30 minutes away from me. One of them has a sale room that you can buy from anytime. The one in my town is having a book sale this Saturday so plan to go. My eyes tend to be bigger than what I can consume 🤣.
