Thanks for the view of the show. Makes me miss the old Expo Mart Max Shows and the earlier SOS Shows. Much more back then.

I feel like more of the "good stuff" gets sold in private meetings at the hotels. The stuff at SOS is now "the leftovers" or things you have seen in the same riker mount for 10 years. Im not saying I don't still snag a thing or two, but it is not what is was before. I've been to a couple of these private hotel meetings during SOS when I was a dealer, THAT inventory would make your head spin, and it ALL gets sold before the show is over. I call it, the SECRET show.

Yes, it happened like that in the past. Uniforms were cut up just for the insignia too. The shows after the collapse of the USSR had great stuff that were hidden behind the Iron Curtain and forgotten as well.@@martinsuper4545
We had a great show! Best traffic, most return customers and lots of new customers! Thanks to everyone!
At 22 mins in that’s my buddy’s table. He’s taught me so much and has been a great friend. I’ll always be appreciative and thankful for all he’s done for me. I came home with some great items for great prices but no matter how much money you bring it’s never enough! At least for me 😂😂😂
Thank you much for another presentation video for us old school that don't get to shows anymore brings back memories of my youth at Tulsa gun show and all the militaria and guns.

thank you paul!!
Boy oh boy... I seen a lot of counterfeit /knock off/ overpriced junk... Also seen some really cool stuff, but also WAAAAAYYYYY OVERPRICED... IT'S MORE LIKE A "SHOW & TELL DAY" THAN A MARKET.....
Thx. can you please next time showing more prices? I'm especially interested in the daggers and helmets
42:34 the Polar Bears! My Great-Grandpa served in the 339th and was wounded in action in Russia. I'm guessing that the helmet was very expensive.

Thanks! The veterans who brought back the treasures are the ones to thank. Believe it or not, things are still being discovered in Germany.
More details German phaleristics with prices, if you can, please. Thanks for you video 🙂
Very cool stuff. Most of it seems to be ok which is not always the case if you think of some ridiculous fakes we saw at these shows in the past. Great channel and interesting stuff, as usual. Thanks for making this video. Best greetings from Germany.
The guy on the right with Castro is Nikita Khruschiov, segretary general of Soviet Union's communist party( i.e president )
This is the first SOS I've missed in 3 years, really hurt my heart. Love the video but boy does it give me FOMO. Look forward to SOS more than Christmas but moved out of Louisville for college. Hopefully next year the Army and school schedules will allow me to make it! Always love the videos.
I started collecting about a year ago. Just got a huge collection from a 90 year old German gentleman. So many items I don't know where to start

So many amazing items! Once I saw the price on some of the items that interested me I realized that I'll need to just stick to coin collecting, heh!
Wish I was there
Thank you for the in-depth video. Next time could you give the prices of a few items of general interest?
Great video. It's a shame with all the knowledgeable and talented people around that show they don't police all the fake chit. Really puts a stain on collecting. Thanks
would kill to know if the guy selling the saddam stuff still has it cause i would kill to own that painting or poster he had
Really enjoy your channel. The prices seem to be quite high on most of the items you showed. These people should realize that the number of people who are interested in these awesome pieces of history is going to be shrinking as time goes on. I'm interested in them because my grandfather fought the Nazis in Germany and brought home an officers dagger and a lot of other stuff.

Prices are higher because there is growing interest, not shrinking interest...
You Do A. Great Job , love The Speed of The Camera Work , You Are Not In A Hurry , Makes Me Feel Like I'm At The Show , Could You Please Show More Prices .
unbelievable how much interesting Japanese stuff you walk right by to look at the same swastika stuff again
Thanks for upload. Couldn't make it. Any time stamp for paper stuff/autographs?

Scattered throughout the video. No timestamps I'm sorry.
Was that the white haired, ponytailed thief sitting there conning more gullible punters? Why are these professional criminals allowed through the door?

Dear Muchacho, and what do you think were the 3 weirdest or most beautiful items of the entire fair?! We want to know.

No I didn't....
Hey Muchacho, at 24:15 I saw a Sudetenland parade medal with combat ribbon in Etui....haven't seen much of those like that...as you pan over there's a Sudetenland medal with Prague badge, left alone....either they don't know what they have or I'd also run 😂😂
7:48 That’s Fidel Castro and Nikita Khrushchev drinking wine from the drinking horns in the Soviet Republic of Georgia, 1963
24:00 minutes grand cross in gold from rudolf souval, vienna is post war, not a 1939-1945 period original.
@MuchachoMilitaria
Жыл бұрын
Souval is notorious for post war examples, they used wartime parts/pieces in their postwar creations.
I love such events but you must be very carefully to find an original object!
The knight's cross at $12 000.. I saw some paperwork underneath it but you couldn't buy at a show without research on the provenance.. That takes time.. For me I would never buy one unless I had the 90 year widow living in Germany selling it to me at her home with lots of paperwork and photos to back it all up..
@TellySavalas-or5hf
Жыл бұрын
Do you know the story of the Dutch SS man Gerardus Mooyman? He threw his knight's cross into the ditch in 1945. In 1965 he bought a good reproduction. So the person (collector / current owner) thinks he has a real one, but in reality it is a sixties fake.
How can you tell authentic from reproduced copies? Is Show of Shows vendors only allowed to sell/trade/buy authentic collections? First time Ive heard of this and it's fantastic. Subbed for more.
@MuchachoMilitaria
Жыл бұрын
The key to spotting reproductions is to study/hold/view authentic examples. Once you hold an original piece, the reproduction will seem a little off...maybe color, fitment of parts, the stamping, etc. No substitute for studying.
Spider helmet ? Well he told a web of lies about it , Russian but has German police badge on it ? , same for the ss cap , he gave you a blunt response when you asked about it , didn’t exactly tell you much details , he knew it was fake
Do you suppose Walter is using the Ole handicap trick so he can have a parking spot nearest to the front door. Fake health just like his fake crap on his table. Great videos thanks for sharing. Hey have you been to or are you coming to mansfield,Ohio military show?

@Muchacho Militaria you should come and when your done you can take a tour through the shawshank prison and make a video. So I was wondering if that would have been Tom Wittman taking a video with he does at all the shows you think that idiot would have yelled at him like he did you?
Vendors seem kinda crouchy .
Goes to show how humongous this place is. In the past 4 years I don’t believe I’ve showed up in anyone’s SOS videos including yours 😅
