CINEY Militaria Fair 2022 - The BIGGEST one in EUROPE!! Buying AWESOME WW2 stuff for KILLER Prices!!
Ойын-сауық
Hello my friends!
We went to Ciney, the biggest militaria fair in Europe!
Thousands of people come from all over the world to buy and sell military stuff!
Most of the stuff you see here is WW2 related, but basically you can find things from all time frames!
I already went to this place when I was a kid, and the last time I visited this fair was in 2019.
It was a big chaos, so much people.. BUT, we saw some awesome stuff, made some great deals, and... I'm really happy with the items I bought!
In the end, I will explain you what I bought, what I paid for it, and what it's worth!
Also, I managed to link names carved in some of the items to the actual soldier who was using it back in WW2!
Lot's of exciting things to see, enjoy the video!! :)

Hey Nick! Conor here, from Cascorro Militaria. Thank you so much for what you have done. I spent the whole 57 minutes of the video smiling, you are a true and honest fellow, I hope you enjoy your belt buckle, it’s more than well deserved. Take care and see you in Spain sometime? Who knows! Hahaha!

Fun fact: The belt buckle you got is actually the older style, before the ww1 model was introduced. I believe it's from pre 1896? So definitly awesome and quite unusual to find! To my knowledge these were often worn by the Landwehr units during ww1

This reminds me of when I had the chance to buy a mint factory condition M42 Stahlhelm with it's original liner and chinstrap also in factory condition for 80 USD. I regret not buying it everyday. I just hope it's current owner is taking care of it and respecting it's history.

Great video as always! I knew that W mark in the helmet right away as Westinghouse. My grandfather on my dads side a US WW2 navy vet retired from there. I think its great that there are so many people like you doing their best to keep history alive. My grandfather on my moms side moved from the Netherlands in1952. He spoke more of his time in the army in Indonesia after the war, but not nearly as much as his life during the war as a teenager. Family friends hid him at a bakery somehow for a year and a half so he wouldn't be put to work for the Germans. Thinking of that maybe we don't have it so bad today.

That’s terrible that there are miserable thieves at these shows. This happens at regular antique shows too. Too bad there wasn’t any security that could’ve been alerted and grab that guy.

I’ve never heard of this military memorabilia show. I lived in Berlin for 2.5 yrs, US Army. At the time, I wasn’t interested in military history and war memorabilia. Now though, I love watching videos on people out excavating/hunting for war era relics. Wish I had taken an interest in this hobby while stationed in Berlin. Great video guys and gals! Thank you from Las Vegas NV
In the place where I life it's very difficult to collect ww2 stuff because my country did not participate in the war so I have to order stuff online or go to very specific collectionism shops, so people in central europe or the Bennylux are very lucky. Good video Nick keep on the good work. Greetings from Spain!!!
Back in the 80's / 90's in France, i remember you could find so many military surplus both recent and old items in flea markets, and it was costing absolutely nothing, almost given, i could have filled a whole house of stuff..
Hey man, I was there too! I bought a belt buckle, k98 pouches, and a side cap for the wehrmacht. Thanks to you I am going into ww2 reenactment! Thanks for the amazing content and I hope you continue uploading amazing videos! Edit: Just realized I saw brian there too but didn't know it was him without his uniform on, that hurts
Cool video! That show would be amazing to attend. I was big into military history and militaria for a number of decades but eventually lost interest in it. It's good to see so many guys keeping the tradition alive!
Very interesting, I like it when items get personalized to individual soldiers!
Hi Nick! This video was amazing like the others, finding those personal things for cheap price is unbalivable, cant wait for new video...
Thank you for getting me more into WW2 history my great grandpa was in the Pacific theater
Hyped to watch this, almost 1 hour😍😍😍
So awesome how many stories these items you bought tell! I love it 🤗 history lessons right here

Always a good day when Nick uploads!
This years october edition was a good one. To my surprise, modern small arms made a slight comeback, with even a few mausers but the prices for many things were X3 what you would have paid a few years ago. Example: In the past, a french mle 1892 ordnance revolver in good condition would have set you back 400- 500 euro's, now the going rate is 1000+ and I even saw one at 1500 euro. Completely insane, in my opinion.
Very cool military show. So many items and sellers. It's overwhelming. The show could literally be a three day event.
Woah 😮! 4 videos in a month?!?! This is the best thing ever! Keep up the good work!
Nick may not be the biggest ww2 KZreadr but he’s the best ww2 KZreadr. And I love how he even tried to post when he couldn’t. That’s true dedication to KZread
One of the reasons why I am so scared is thievery at the shows. Really takes the fun out of hobbies. Great content as always!
Very fun vid! Great ww2 show and narration! Wish I could visit the Netherlands for militaria shows.
Very interesting Nick and great attic display or should I say Mini Museum. Keep going, really enjoy 👍😀
You lads have the best shopping trips
I love how well all of you get on together its so funny 😁 love the vidz
Congratulations on your successful shopping. You can see that you are a true collector with great passion and great knowledge. You talked a lot in the episode, but this is valuable knowledge and it is good to listen to.
Cool stuff! I went to a militaria show today too, but I only picked up a 43 First Aid pouch, since I’ve been using a WW1 model for my WWII kit so far.

Awesome research on the mess tins and congratulations on your purchases.
We have a similar reenactors market in the UK called TORM (The Orignal Reenactors Market) but the vendors are all multi-period not just WW1 & WW2 but Medieval, Vikings, Elizabethan, Victorian ect. Of all sorts of items and fabrics and lots more! But I made the faital mistake of spending my cash, within the first few hours of being there and then couldn't spend anymore. So I was just walking about in self pity and regret, thinking at every stall I walked past. "dang it! I could've bought that!" But regardless I always love seeing how other countries do different militaria, antique markets & such. Its fascinating and really cool to see as many other markets have different variety of stalls, sellers, items ect.
Awesome video man! Love your content keep it up, love from the UK🇬🇧

Fascinating to find out the individual side of history.
Hey HS! Nice finds! The M1923 M1 Garand Cartridge belt you bought is post war. OD #9 is the color of that cartridge belt, and those produced in that color were mainly manufactured post war. If not, it's very, very late war. Still a nice find!

Thanks! Yes, I know! It's from the 1950s, but the buckle is the early WW2 type! It's perfect for Reenactment use! I will use the buckle, and probably place it on a belt with the right color. Thanks for the information though!

The very circular spot welds on the Schlueter helmet is a good way to quickly identify the manufacturer I'd you can't find the S. The McCord helmets have distinctive oval spot welds. Just another easy way to tell if you can't see a heat stamp.
hi Nick so want to go .Had a bad day but seeing you always makes me feel happy
Hi nick, I just wanted to say that I love your KZread, I wish that sometimes people would remember that it was not just the Americans who took part in ww2 ,a lot English , French,Russian and people from all over the world fought in the ww2 ,and not just German and Americans, but saying that I love what you do

Great video. Enjoyed your search for historical treasures and amazing you identified the US soldiers who used the mess kits. With their name and serial # you should be able to identify their unit and where they served.
I was so happy when you made a longer video! Also I just bought an original German mess kit and it had the letter H clearly carved into there. I don't know if it's someone's Initials or if it's code? Anyways thanks for the video!

Hey Nick, are there any sort of rules to be aware of when crossing the border if you buy a bayonet or a sword at the fair?
I personally prefer flea markets over fairs and antique shops. Maybe you should make a video of you going to a flea market?

The helmets decal is the 29 infantry division of the United States Army based in Fort Belvoir, Virginia and this unit has been in World War I, World War II, Global War on Terrorism Iraq War and the Afghanistan War
I don't blame you for being careful there. It looks like a Mecca for pick pockets.
