I'm so glad you have done this one. This is one of my favourite dance tunes and I researched it a while back. The Bronski Beat Small time boy is an amazing tune itself. I think they sample the lyric tell me why from another Bronski beats tune which funnily enough is called Why. Keep up the good work guys.

Another great insight from you guys. I’ve always enjoyed Dance and 80s music and knew of some of the more obvious samples but watching your stuff has made me realise why I enjoy both!

There’s a behind the scenes video of the music video on KZread, and axwell states he heard Smalltown boy on a radio station in Sweden that plays old music and said to Angello ‘oh man, we have to go and do a remix of this’. Basically the same but minus the fucked Ibiza taxi 😂

As im watching. I didnt know the true story of "supermongo/supermode" but always knew it was axwell+angello. I personally felt the album Until One was unreal as it kept it to their roots and honestly feel it's one the best house albums ever. People also forget Prydz was in the original lineup. But then EDM became huge, and although they tried, they succumbed. Until Now was born. And i will give EDM its place. Although its not what i enjoy now but ive been there to Ushuaia for Angello, seen Ingrosso open "Boom Ibiza" at the last minute when Avicii pulled out, done it loved, but honestly balearic house is where it began for me, and it started with SHM. They are legends in their own right, i hope they look back at previous records and thing some are timeless, lets make more

And id like to comment on Felix's honesty on sampling to Dan, too many times commercial DJs and producers sample very good songs (Oliver Heldens - Kajagoogoo) (Sigala - Strings of life) but with Axwell/Shm it wasn't quite the same, it was a mashup. But a delicate one and they done well. Look at Stardust - Music Sounds Better with You. That is truly a sample of about 4 seconds worth of music.

I like the original better too. I was at a party for Yoshi Toshi records back in 2002 and heard a white label of "Small Town Boy". It was amazing. I never heard it again. Small Town Boy would be a track I want at my funeral.
