Your channel helped convince us to purchase Dexters for our farm and this video helped me take the jump to starting our own KZread channel to follow our progress. You inspire us, so keep up the great work!

Thank you for sharing your experiences, I considered Dexter cattle 20 years ago when I purchased my 10 acre property with my husband, but we went to Herefords and then after a divorce 12 years ago I went to Limousin cattle (the French bread). I have not had any cattle in the past 3-4 years as they are expensive to buy in South Australia. But I have now returned to the idea of Dexter cattle and possibly breeding so your information is invaluable, you explain things very well and show your cattle, I have seen the clip on udder confirmation and learnt a lot from this. I will share your channel as much as I can to support you to keep producing great clips. The connection you have with your cattle (and those who talk back to you!) is fantastic, keep filming!😀

Good video with good information.....it's like having a book published...it pays forever, even it if just a little bit each month. And few people start out "good" on camera...you can see most people progress and get better as their channel grows.

Thank you. I never really realized that until I started doing it, but it just keeps going. Even if you never get “big” the videos live on and continue to pay out something. As long as KZread doesn’t become obsolete for some odd reason in the future. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for all of the info. We just had our barn/shop/man cave burn down so looking to completely retool and thinking of pivoting to a few head of cattle and your channel has helped immensely.

Sorry to hear about your barn. That’s very unfortunate. Hopefully you can rebuild. If starting a little cattle operation draws your interest I would say go for it! Glad you have found the videos helpful and thanks for commenting.

Any income is a good income and never send the cheque back. A video on how you make videos would be great. It is living the dream and for so many sharing your dream works for so many. It is absolutely splendid on a sunny day and not so good putting back up a fence in pouring rain watched by Dexters who have just taken it down and are planning between themselves how they will take it down a second time particulalry when rain is forcast.

Just found your channel today. I think Mr. Jordan is right. You do a very good job with your videos! I am interested in all the aspects of what you're doing. We are buying grass fed beef, pretty much exclusively. I was glad to hear all about your shop building, the cost of your property and your home. I dream of owning property some day. I think that opportunity has probably sailed, but I can still watch your videos and dream! What happened with the calf? I don't think you can take responsibility for that without more evidence that's it's a result of being grass fed. You said yourself that this was the mother's first calf. I don't have experience with cattle but I know that often cats and dogs can loose one or more babies from a first litter. I'd hate to see you give up with grass feeding based on only that as evidence of a problem. I wish you and yours the very best of luck! And make more videos!!

Thank you Pat for the encouragement, and kind comments. It is very much appreciated. Comments like these help more than you know. The calf is actually doing very well since yesterday. It was a long week, but he is actually running full speed across the barn yard. Looking very promising! That said never give up on your dream. I don’t know your situation, but I do know that things have a way of working themselves out, and if it’s something you want then you should go for it. Glad you found the channel, and good to hear from you!

Please keep making videos. We run a very small farm and it gets very expensive fast. We try to sell some things but we never come close to breaking even. Your channel will grow in time. 😊

Really interesting video. Yes, let’s hear about your equipment, that’s helpful. Just FYI, You look comfortable in font of the camera. I totally get ya, it’s unnerving being the center of attention.. That’s why we do a lot of impromptu videos. Which aren’t my favorite. I’m super surprised, KZread pays so much.

Thanks Tanya. It is unnerving. I notice if I make several videos in a row it gets easier, but if I take a break for a couple of weeks it’s really difficult. Like anything else I think it just comes down to experience and repetition.

Bigger fish to fry here.................I just put things up when I have more than one local person who wants to see it. Nothing I do is of value to waste time with video'ing...............When I was a independent ag mechanic, those would have been some good videos, but taking video when someone is paying you and your under the gun most of the time isn't an option, but I have seen things you couldn't make up.
