Hey! We were there in March and April and it was beautiful. If you want more snow though maybe wait til June ❄️

It was sooo worth it making the return trip. Escpecially Fox Glacier 🤩 incredible! We are currently in Queenstown and I cannot wait to show you this place Tracy!

Another wonderful video, guys! We always stayed in Fox Glacier township instead of Franz Joseph when we were on family holidays because it was cheaper (and Dad always said it was easier to get out of in an earthquake!). I was lucky enough to see them when you could walk along the side of Fox Glacier, and lean over and touch it - it's almost incomprehensible to me how far they've retreated from when I was first there in '91 to when I was last there in about 2017 - I couldn't believe it. Same with the Tasman Glacier - there was no lake at the end of it in '91 (I was lucky enough to fly over it, and land on the top of Fox Glacier in a helicopter when they were still just catering to local tourists budgets). I can say I have been lucky enough to do the Lake Matheson walk on a reflection day, and it is stunning, with Aoraki Mt Cook framed in the centre. Thank you for bringing back so many happy memories and inspiring future travels ❤

Amazing! It sounds like you’ve done a fair bit of touring yourself! These videos must be bringing up some wonderful memories for you 🥰 I would have loved to have seen those glaciers when they were at their peak! I mean, they are impressive now but imagine them twice as long and twice as tall! 🤯 hopefully someday soon we get to do some heli hiking!

Aww thanks for that. No drone shots in this one due to the helicopter highway above the glaciers! 🚁

Another great video. lol I was one of those tourists that took that expensive helicopter flight ( only because my heli hike got cancelled yes expensive but I was very happy )
