Yes! 100% I honestly want to move back to campus because the social life was so great so many international students there

It is hotter in Miami period. When u said 4 hours north I was like OFC. u go north it gets colder. U can go to Orlando and it be 75 while its 89 in Miami

i got in w a below 3.0 GPA & a 20 on the ACT 😭. but im contemplating between FIU or GSU

Hey this is a topic that I'm pretty passionate about, the public transportation here pretty much sucks, but it is improving. You can get all your necessities by just walking across the street from campus (like restaurants pharmacies and grocery stores) but other than that you might have to use ubers taxis or the school bus system.

Don’t worry it’s nothing like an actually competitive school like harvard, but i think every year it gets a little bit more competitive. So if you have an over 3.2 gpa and an sat score above 1200 you will make it in 💓

I’ll be transferring in fall! Most of my classes is at the BBC campus. I’m currently signed up for the university apartments in modesto. You think I’ll be fine commuting or should I look for a closer place?😅

In Miami an average 1 bedroom apartment is about $1700-2700, gas is about $3.20-3.70 a gallon and grocery isn’t bad

I would say its average, they look for a b+ gpa and over 1200 sat score, but unfortunately they get more competitive each year 😭

Good school, just don't believe that it is "urban". Miami is totally deceptive. Hopefully things will get better for Florida without Desantis!

Forget how the buildings look. You will have the worst experience at FIU. There is no such thing as a college experience at FIU. Unless you plan on staying on campus 24/7 good luck. As soon as you leave be ready to deal with the Miami people’s ignorance. All that aside, the classes are a joke. I coasted through all of my dual finance/economics with a minor in math degree classes without even a sweat. The school is a big joke. Do not get suckered in.
